We are looking for volunteers for our 2023 Working Equitation show at the Washington State Horse Park in Cle Elum on September 15-17th.

We are specifically looking for help with the following jobs:

- Setup on Thursday the 14th in the afternoon
- Ring Steward/Gate Steward on Friday and/or Saturday from 7:30am to 5pm
- Test runners and course resets on Friday and/or Saturday from 11am to 5pm
- Tear down on Saturday afternoon/evening
- Tear down and Cattle Trial on Sunday morning

Perks of volunteering include free food from the Aardvark Express food stand, an inside look into the workings of a WE show, great show spectating, free camping (we will register and pay for you), and our gratitude and admiration! WE folks are the best folks and it's a super fun weekend!

If you can help with some or all of it, please message us and let us know:

1) What job you can help with,
2) What hours/day you can commit to,
3) If you need camping, and if it's RV or Tent.

Thank you! Hope to see you there!

We are 3/4 full for this show! Thank you to everyone who's already signed up. If you haven't yet, don't hesitate to do so! This is a single-judge, double show so we don't have quite as much room for participants as we do for our fall show. Thank you! Can't wait to see you all!

Yoshi and I are getting prepped to head to Scottsdale, AZ for the Working Equitation Zone Championships! But in the meantime, we are putting together the WA show and clinic schedule for 2023!

Quite a lot of cool events in the works! 🤩

We will have the calendar updated on our website by the end of the Dec., but save the date for our first event, which will be an André Ganc Dressage clinic January 27-29. Message me if you'd like to be put on the priority list for that clinic and I'll give you first access to signups.

We will also have cozy auditing from our warm clubhouse 🔥 and possibly a live stream for distance auditing. 🤞

LAST MINUTE, but open to participants! Message us to participate!

MONDAY, September 19th and TUESDAY, September 20th we will have USAWE judge Susan Watkins giving private lessons at Grateful Pine Farm in Snohomish. If you would like to join, please message me with your preferred time.

Sue is a wealth of knowledge regarding all things Working Equitation and an accomplished horsewoman who works with all disciplines and ages. We have obstacles, an indoor arena, and even a mountain trail course for you to work with her and your horse.

Also, Sue will be giving her PPT presentation on MONDAY night at 7pm with wine and snacks in our farm clubhouse if there is enough interest. This is free to attend for anyone interested in Working Equitation and is a great introduction to the sport! PLEASE RSVP by DM or email to [email protected]

We are pretty much full for the Fall Fiesta Working Equitation show, but due to our two-judge format, we can afford a little wiggle room - so I'm leaving entries open until the end of the week for anyone who missed the entry deadline but was still wanting to join us!

I wanted to make sure y'all had all the details about our Fall Fiesta working equitation shows at the Washington State Horse Park in Cle Elum on September 16th-18th.

Our judges are Kim Roe and Sue Watkins again. This should hopefully give us plenty of space for everyone who wants to join us, however, entries close on August 15th, so register asap!

We are doing two licensed shows this year: Friday & Saturday, Sept 16-17th. Two one-day licensed shows will give you more options to earn points with just one weekend of travel!

Choose to enter the Friday show, the Saturday show, or both! Discount on show fees when entering both! Awards for the Friday show will be presented on Saturday. Awards for the Saturday show will be presented on Sunday.

Back by popular demand, Western Sky Horsemanship and Inspired Horseman are doing an intro to cattle clinic on Sunday morning. All experience levels are welcome! This clinic is designed to introduce you and your horse to working cattle and get some practice on the cows before the cattle trial. You will be assigned to an 8-horse group for a 2.5-hour session before lunch on Sunday.

Sunday @ Noon: USAWE Licensed Cattle Trials. The cattle phase is optional at this show and it is being scored individually rather than in teams. You may request team members to ride with you if you would like, but the judge will have the final say in team organization to ensure equitability and success.

Since we have two rated shows, we can have two back-to-back cattle trials, available to all riders L2 and above. Sorry, no intro-level cattle trial at this time!

Following the licensed cattle trial is an optional group clinic with Sue Watkins to give you more time on the cows and learn strategies for working well with team members to accomplish your cattle trial goals. This clinic will run from the conclusion of the cattle trial to around dinner hour. Priority will be given to those entered in the licensed cattle trial.

Stalls are paid for on your entry form this year. Please pre-order your bedding if possible to save time during the show. We will have it set out by your stall when you arrive. Camping is through the horse park. I will send out a link for this to everyone who is registered prior to the event.

Please read through the whole prize list for details and the preliminary schedule and contact us if you have any questions! We are happy to chat with you about it!https://gratefulpinefarm.com/wp-content/uploads/2022/03/Fall-Fiesta-Show-Prize-List.pdf

If you are new to licensed WE shows, you will need a USAWE Lifetime Horse Recording number and either a USAWE rider membership or pay a non-member fee or apply for a voucher. I always say, just join! It's only $45 and you will absolutely love it! Membership details here https://usawe.org/membership-horses/membership-info/

If you are ready to register, the entries are via e-form and can be found here on our website: https://gratefulpinefarm.com/events/fall-fiesta/ (green button)

Our Fall Fiesta t-shirt sales are open for another few weeks. These need to be pre-ordered before the show and are a fundraiser for the event! Anyone can buy a t-shirt or sweatshirt to support the show, even if you aren't showing or able to come! It will be shipped straight to you. Order here at CreateMyTee https://www.createmytee.com/Join/157514

We are also desperately looking for sponsors and volunteers! This is crucial to be able to run the show, and continue running shows! If you're able to help, please check out the volunteer signup and the sponsorship packages. https://gratefulpinefarm.com/fallfiestasponsorship/

Thanks so much and we look forward to getting to see some of you at the Fall Fiesta! :)
