This weekend the Rat-a-Caters hosted a fesfive and fun barnhunt complete with Cocoa and Cookies at the French Creek Pet Resort in Snohomish.

Bo competed in both Novice and Open, securing two Qs toward his RATNX and in just over 1 minute snagged not only the first leg of his RATO, but also took home a High in Class!

Sunday Miss Frances tagged along, so I figured why not see what she'd do in the instinct class... During the judges briefing she couldn't keep her eyes off the ring and was squirming in my arms, ears perked. When our turn came, it took a bit of coraling but as soon as she spotted the tubes, she became immediately fixated. I tried to get her to inspect the others but she had no interest in leaving. I took a chance, called RAT! and she earned her title!

Thanks to everyone who helped make the event a huge success.. From the club, the tireless volunteers, everyone who made cookies for the contest and the support of the community..thank you!

The 2Stars Team had a fantastic day at the Whidbey Island Kennel Club Dog Show and French Bull Dog Club of Puget Sound Speiclaty / Sweeps.. It was a long day for dogs and humans alike, but it was worth it!

The morning started with the all breed show where Jules took Reserve Winners and, Mary Lou went Best Opposite. Tia and Jak were awarded Best Bred By and took home a Bred By Group 2

Miss Tayter then went on to win the 4-6 puppy class

Tia piloted Jak to a fantastic Best Opposite in Sweeps and at 8 years old, Nola took home Best Veteran in Sweeps.

We wrapped up the day with the FBDCPS Specialty where Jak + Kelce went 1st/2nd in Bred By Puppy, Frances was Winners Bitch, Nola went best Veteran + Select Bitch, and Mary Lou was Best Opposite to none other than Franklin who shone in the ring and was awarded Best of Breed / Best in Specialty / Best of Breed Owner Handled!

A huge thank you to judges Debra Long Gschwender, Anita Myhill-Demoski and Brenda Fontanos for finding our dogs in such a competitive group, to our Frenchie community for cheering us on and ways being willing to lend a hand and to our families who love and support us!

UPDATE: Rookie has met her new family (Tyler and Brad) and will be going to her new home when they return from a planned vacation. Thank tou to everyone who share the post and contacted me. Photo in comments.

Meet Rookie - 2Stars Bases Loaded For BryBritt. She will be 7 years old on February 24th. Due to no fault of her own (divorce) she has returned to 2Stars. She has been here since the end of June so I could evaluate how she gets along with the other dogs and then the plan was for her to be spayed. But, she came in season before that could happen. Now for her health we must wait a few months. However, I don’t think it would be fair to keep her from finding her forever family while we wait for that time. She enjoys laying in the sun, chewing on chew toys and hanging out on the sofa. She sleeps in a pen but would probably love to sleep on the bed with you. If you are, or know somebody that may be interested in meeting Rookie, please PM us here on FB.

Saying that Bo, Jules and Mary Lou are hooked on running FastCat is an understatement. These dogs are clearly ADDICTED. Between the joy they get out of the sport, and making tons of new friends on the course, maybe we humans are as well 😉 This weekend at the Nisqually Kennel Club Dog Shows Mary Lou got a personal best by completing the 100 meters in 11.05 (18.5 mph) and we went home with not one, not two, but three new titles! A huge thanks to the Western Washington Hound Association and all the volunteers that made this event such a blast and to Terry May and Jodi KC for being our mentors and biggest cheerleaders!

This past weekend welcomed the Tacoma Kennel Club dog show in Graham.

*Jak once again took Best of Breed Beginner Puppy and placed Non-Sporting Group 3 and Group 1!
*Tandy came out with some extra pep in her step and was selected for Winners Bitch under legendary judge Pat Trotter.
*And last but not least, Bo competed in Rally and earned Qs both days, earning his Novice title

July is jam packed full of dog shows for 2Stars!

We kicked things off 4th of July weekend with the French Bull Dog Club of Puget Sound Bowtie Sweeps/Specialty in honor of Wes. We had a great entry and it was wonderful to see faces from near and far.

*Nola strutted her stuff, taking Best Veteran in both shows and even snagged Best Opposite in Specialty Not too shabby for our girl who is turning 8 tomorrow! *Jules caught the eye of the judge and snagged Winners Bitch at the Specialty for a 4 point major.
*Frances, Frank and Abby"s kiddo, won her first points by taking home Winners Bitch for a 2 points on Monday
*Jak Jak made us proud and not only won Best of Breed Beginner Puppy + Non-Sporting Group 1 during 2 days of the cluster, but also won Best in Show Beginner Puppy on Monday! All the hard work he and co-owner/breeder Tia McLaughlin have been doing to get show ready is truly paying off!
*Mary Lou aka White Lightning officially earned her BCAT title after just 5 runs. She's a fiend for the sport and it's a blast to see her get so excited leading up to her runs.

A huge thank you to judges Anne McIntyre, Cindy Stansell, Sandy Gelinas and Celeste Gonzalez for finding us amongst such a competitive group of dogs!! And it goes without saying, but thank you to our friends, family and extended 2stars family for supporting us and cheering us on!

We're excited to announce that amdist the downpour at the Clackamas Kennel Club dog show Saturday, 2Stars Damari Stormy Mountain Showcase Showdown, aka Bo, was awarded Winners Dog and Best of Winners for a 4pt major completing the requirements for his bred by championship!

Jak continued to wow the judges and won Best of Breed Beginner Puppy and Group 1 all three days. This boy has a bright future ahead of him and we along with co-owner/breeder Tia McLaughlin are super proud of him!

Frances was awarded 1st in class each day, earning her Puppy of Achievement title at 7 months (pending AKC verification)! Siblings Pickles and Coco made their debuts in the 6-9 class, both taking home blue ribbons each day. Coco who is loved by David & Cathy Harrington even went Reserve in her first show.

Ms Mary Lou was awarded Select Bitch Saturday followed by Best Opposite on Sunday, while Frances Jules and Tandy all brought home 1st or 2nd place class ribbons. Frank was beautifully presented by Jill and made cuts alongside some of the top dogs in the country.

2stars Frenchies super versatile...from hiking to paddle boarding, from running Fast CAT to doing agility, they can do it all. And after this weekend, thanks to the Columbia Bouvier des Flandres Club Group, we can now add Farm Dog to our repertoire of skills! Along with 3 of our friends, 4 of our dogs jumped on hay bales, hung out while we fed chickens and ignored Farm equipment/sounds, and all passed the Farm Dog Certification! Way to go Tandy, Mary Lou, Bo and Jules!

Lots of great wins today at the Pacific Northwest French Bulldog Specialty and the Clackamas Kennel Club dog show!

2stars Kumi Kanga Roux "Jak" co-owned/bred and loved by Tia McLaughlin made his debut in the 4-6 month BPUP class and won not only breed but also took 1st in the non sporting group!

The daughter and daddy duo of Frances and Franklin caught the eye of the judges and took home Best Opposite in Sweeps / Best Puppy and an Award of Merit.

Ms Nola was selected Best Veteran in both shows and also took home an Award of Merit.

Mary Lou recently completed her grand championship and received Best Opposite in the Specialty and Select Bitch in the all breed show.

Bo, Jules and Tandy all got the nod for 1st and 2nd places and Bo was Reserve Winner's Dog .

Thank you to the judges along with our friends, family and supporters.. especially those that lent a hand in the ring, Tia McLaughlin for the countless hours working with the dogs to get them show ready and to Midge Tallman for being an amazing grandma!
