Matted stalls.
Ihot/cold wash racks
Kitchen with refrigerator, microwave and bathroom
Heated tack rooms with private lockers-
We feed premium Timothy and Alfalfa as well as we feed owners provided grain and supplements am/pm.
80x210 outdoor arena with sand /rubber footing
70x150 indoor arena with well maintained sand/felt footing
2 hot/cold water wash rack

WEC Show Results!

Grandia Dressage and Off Broadway Farm clients and horses had a fun and successful outing at WEC's "One Day" and "Summer" dressage shows this past weekend.

Sheila Buchanan's "Don Erre," aka "Donut," cleaned up at Third level with Nicki. Riding Third 3, Nicki and Donut earned scores of 73.625% and 75%! At the farm, Donut has made some new horse BFFs, and his personality is really starting to shine through with Nicki's guidance. While he may get a bit googly-eyed over Acero (it's probably the Spanish hair and flair), his human soulmate may be Nicki.

Sheila rode "MS Wonder Woman," aka "Wendi," to a high score of 70% at First 3! Although Wendi can be a bit of a wacky goofball in her house, she channels her energy positively in her rides with Sheila.

Danielle Tihon and the handsome Adagio - looking smashing in blue - continue to push through the challenge that is Grand Prix. We are very proud of Danielle and her efforts; it is decidedly NOT easy to put all those pieces together, and she and Adagio are working hard to master them.

Ashley Powel and Commodore, aka "Nick," rode their Fourth level freestyle to a 66.100%! Ashley only needs one more score for her silver bar, and we know it's just around the corner!

Merryn DeBenedetti and Acero - no nickname though it would be "Pig Pen" because he loves being smelly - earned second level scores and thus Merryn earned her bronze medal! As she says, "I finally have a horse I can sit during all that trot work without passing out!" Riding goals!

As always, thank you to Abigail Saar and the Hilltop crew for all the help and laughs. And to long-time client Susan Gilbert, who not only is an expert test reader, but who also keeps us all fed and watered. Because she knows that hot, tired, and hungry riders need love too!

Our last trip to Devonwood Equestrian Center Showgrounds was nothing less than incredible with our group of young horses who all did exceptionally well!

We are particularly overjoyed to witness Devi's incredible journey in the world of dressage, and it's all thanks to the fantastic partnership she has with Nicki Grandia!
Devi, you've truly outdone yourself, diving headfirst into the 70's club with a remarkable 73.88%! Your talent and dedication are truly admirable.

And to top it all off, you've been nothing short of amazing as a 5-year-old at your very first shows!

Off Broadway Farm is excited to return to Whidbey Equestrian Center twice this month for its last two recognized shows as well as the WEC Finals!

For many years, we have enjoyed attending WEC shows. The shows are well run, competitor friendly, and welcoming to both novice and experienced riders. Additionally, our horses seem to enjoy the grounds, particularly the ample grazing opportunities and newly matted stalls.

📣 Dear friends and fellow equestrians,
As many of you are aware, the dedicated team at Whidbey Equestrian Center has been working tirelessly during the off-season to enhance our beloved facility. Mari and her crew have accomplished incredible feats, including the renovation of Barns B and C, situated behind Ring 2 and 3.
The barns have been leveled, 18 panels have been replaced with new steel, a drainage system has been installed, and new flooring has been added. We were thrilled to showcase the new barns during the first WEC show, and they were simply magnificent! The horses were in heaven, finding comfort and rest, particularly appreciating the new flooring. However, we encountered an unexpected challenge.
Our equine friends, in their exuberance, have taken to christening the new stalls by digging holes. As competitors and dedicated supporters of WEC, it was disheartening to witness this destruction. That's why we have initiated a capital campaign to address this issue and raise funds to purchase new mats for each stall. The estimated cost is just over $200 per stall, and we are reaching out to you, our incredible community, to lend a helping hand.
No donation is too large or too small. Every contribution counts and will make a significant difference in maintaining the high standards of Whidbey Equestrian Center. WEC holds a special place in all of our hearts, representing a sanctuary of unforgettable moments and cherished memories.
Perhaps it was here that you rode your very first horse down the center line, achieved a remarkable comeback with a beloved horse you painstakingly rehabilitated, completed your century ride, exceeded your personal best score, or bid farewell to your heart horse as they embarked on their retirement.
