Before freedom comes skills. In our house, leashes and designated dog beds aren’t “restrictions”… they’re training tools that build habits.

✅ Leash on in the home = easy redirection
✅ Place/bed = calm body, calm brain
✅ Clear expectations = fewer arguments, less chaos

When a dog learns how to settle, how to wait, and how to coexist politely, that’s when real freedom becomes possible — off leash, relaxed, and included in daily life.

Our final Ladies Night of the year was tonight. And our turn out was spectacular. Seeing these ladies and their dogs make marked improvement in engagement and obedience each over the last 7 months has been rewarding!

Chakira tuned 13 today. Her day was filled with lazing about the house and slow walks in the grass and tasty things to chew.

This video from 2 summers past reminded me of the great communication we built and how we would play at things making a game of every simple task.
