Overnights or extended stays in my home. Service Area: Willow Creek Community, Snohomish When I was 12, I started my own business. I thought my business name was brilliant:
"The Doggie Do-er." On pieces of paper, I hand-drew an outline of a bone with my business name, my name, phone number, and services inside of it. I taped them on all the mailboxes in the neighborhood. I offered dog walking,
yard cleaning, and pet care while people were out of town. I received one phone call. Over the next 4 years, I dog sat almost every weekend in the winter when my clients would go skiing. Shannon was a beautiful Golden Retriever, and I was with her when she was a puppy, in heat, pregnant, and when she had puppies of her own. Eventually my family moved from the area. Over the next (almost) 40 years, I worked, raised three children, helped my ex-husband start a business, ran a non-profit, and had 4 dogs of my own. The last two of which were senior rescues. When my beloved Bonnie crossed the rainbow bridge, I was devastated. I had had to say goodbye to 4 senior dogs in just 5 years time. The house was too quiet without a dog. I had the opportunity to foster dogs that needed a place to stay for a few days as they traveled to their new homes in Canada. It was then I decided to return to my roots and to start pet sitting again as well as continuing to foster. At the time, I did not think I was ready for another dog of my own, hence the name "Can I Borrow Your Dog?"
I ended up taking an emergency rescue for Juno's Den, a local rescue. I was supposed to have him just a few days until he went to a foster. I decided I would keep him instead of him making another move to a foster, until the rescue found him the perfect home. I realizedI was the perfect home. Hachi is a year-and-a-half-old Australian Cattle dog mix who loves other dogs. If you go to Willis Tucker Park, there's a good chance you've seen us as we are there every day. He is my best friend and partner in this venture. So here we are. I look forward to building long-term relationships with my 4-pawed clients and their families, and hope to help put your mind at ease when you can't be with your dog. I only sit for one dog at a time (unless you have more than one dog) so that they will receive all of the time, individual attention, and love that they would from you at home. Please message me if you have any questions, or if you would like to schedule a meet and greet. Thank you!
