🚨As we enter snake season, it is crucial for dog owners to take preventative measures against snake bites.

⚠️To do so, consider the following guidelines:

1) Familiarize yourself with local snake species and their activity patterns,

2) Implement strategic landscaping around your home and exercise vigilance during walks,

3) Train your dog in basic obedience commands,

4) Consider enrolling your dog in snake avoidance training, and

5) Be prepared to respond appropriately in the event of a snake bite.

In the event of a bite, seek immediate veterinary care, keep your dog calm and still, and attempt to recall the snake's appearance.
