I think it’s time I update yall on our family! We have now gone from 4 to 5!! Isabella Poppy Lynn Mercado was born 5 weeks earlier than planned, 35 weeks gestation, on March 5th! We welcomed our beautiful baby girl into this world in an emergent situation. I’ve had severe preeclampsia. I went in for my weekly ultrasound and next thing we knew.. I was being induced. The only way to be sure me and the baby would be healthy, and the only “cure” for preeclampsia is to deliver her. I had this elaborate fairy tale birth plan, of an all natural, no epidural or pain medicine birth with the help of using the tub, ball, walking etc to help me further along to deliver.. But that went out the window when they put me on magnesium and pitocin. However… by the grace of God, I still didn’t take the epidural, and was able to somehow push through the most horrific pain of my life and naturally birth this beautiful little nugget of ours! She was 5 lbs 3 oz at birth, but being so early.. her poor lungs were not yet. They were not fully matured and the steroid shot they gave me during labor, thats supposed to help her lungs, did not go into effect in time to help her out.. so she has had to be in the NICU ever since. She’s been through so much. She dropped weight down to 4lbs 10oz and they’re supplementing my milk to help her gain weight back now!! She was off of the CPAP and fully off her oxygen within 5 days!! She is still currently in the NICU, and 8 days old.. which is breaking my heart, however she has to gain her strength and weight.. and grow a little wee bit more. She has to prove she can take a full bottle for feedings before she can be released. Her reflexes and muscles just aren’t used to it quite yet.. due to being early, but also being fed through a tube this whole time. So she will let us know when she’s ready, and I KNOW she will hit the ground running and never look back, when she decides to! She’s the boss! 😆 She is so precious, and our hearts are full of love 💕 We feel complete as a family! So now we just need her home, so she can meet her impatient, highly protective, and anxious big brothers… and make our home whole again too! 🙏🏼

My neighbors son found this sweet mature and teeeeeny tiny boy and brought him over to me! I believe he is the male to the female species, I found last year who was gravid! I will have to dig through my posts to remember what she was … maybe pelegrina? but I’m almost certain he is! Because she was very tiny too to be a mature female! She even laid two sacs with me, but I released them since she was wild caught and it was a species I wasn’t that familiar with, so I found it would be best for them to be released!

Sad day yesterday for me. Our sweet Araña that I raised from birth, and was one of Punkins babies, who pops adopted… passed away 🥹 I wish these little guys lived longer. He definitely lived as long as expected.. so atleast we got that time with him. The smiles and joy he brought Poppy during his last months on Earth im grateful for. Rest in heaven Araña, our little handsome spood friend 🙏🏼 I’d like to think he will show up in Heaven and Poppy will be glad to see him again!

Hiatus update: I’m currently high risk in my pregnancy as I have HG and preeclampsia. I’ve been told I can have our little girl, Isabella Poppy Lynn, any day from now through 37 weeks when they’d want to induce me. I’m 34 wks and 3 days as of now! I have BIIIIG plans when we come back into business, we just have to get through this for our little family first! So just a few more months at most!! Thank you for all the love support and understanding during the last 6 months yall have been amazing!! I look forward to seeing yall again, interacting, doing what I love, and being back in business asap!

Piñita update! Some may remember her from the expos me and my family did, we took her to show how we handle them because she is my personal baby ♥️ they all are until they find homes but I mean she’s a permanent resident lol She’s absolutely gorgeous and I am pleased to say I have paired her with my Poppy’s spood Araña (which is one of punkins boys) so I’m very hopeful and excited to see if it was a success or not, and it should fall into line perfectly from coming back from my hiatus to bring you their littles!! 🤞 her color and chelicerae colors are to die for! I’ll get better ones of just her chelicerae for yall!

I’m currently on a hiatus from working until I give birth to my HUMAN baby girl in April of 2025 and to give myself the much needed time to heal mentally, and physically from so much that has happened this past year.

Thank you to everyone who has supported me, and my little family and I WILL be back 100% I just can’t say when exactly. Until then, you may see enclosures, decor or other items posted for sale and update videos of my eight legged babies I personally keep!

In the meantime, please do your research when adopting spoods! 🫶🏻 A few amazing breeders I highly recommend are Web Candy LLC and Georgia Jumper Dude. They will get you whatever you need!

🕷️ You never know what you mean to someone just by being kind and showing you are there for them. Since I’ve been on a hiatus from my go go go business mentality I haven’t heard much of a peep from those I spoke to daily for sooooo long... and I don’t blame them, trust me… I get it, it’s part of it… This isn’t my first rodeo, and usually once someone isn’t as active anymore the friendship dissapates unfortunately. Nobody’s fault, just life. but a repeat customer of mine said some of the sweetest things to me tonight.. and it boost my mentality to know I have one person rooting for me on the other end to come out of my current funk.. whatever you wanna call it, just meant a lot to me.. gave me the boost I needed, to even WANT to handle my eight legged babies I once handled daily! Check up on those you care about ♥️🫶🏻 Even if you think they’re strong, they may need you nonetheless.. to give them that boost of knowing someone is out there as their cheerleader too!
