Cedar Lane Farm LLC We are a Delaware Certified Thoroughbred Program farm. Pete and Karen Lizarzaburu have worked in the horse racing industry for over 35 years.

Young horses are given the special attention and handling they need to develop with confidence and reach their full potential. They love what they do and are committed to the welfare of every horse entrusted to their care.

Our Story

The focus at Cedar Lane Farm is the Delaware Certified Thoroughbred Program (DCTP).

To Be eligible a weanling or yearling must start residency on a DCTP certified farm before December 31st of it's yearling year and must stay on a DCTP farm for 90 days. This enables this horse to be eligible for purse bonuses when they run at Delaware Park.

Currently any Delaware Certified horse that runs at Delaware Park will earn a 50% bonus back to 5th place.

While at Cedar Lane Farm every horse is treated as an individual. All horses are handled twice daily. In the morning and evening, each horse is brought in to an individual stall for grain and handling. We also have their feet trimmed as necessary.
