Attention family, friends and clients.

I WANT YOUR CAPE!

This 2025/26 hunting season I am looking for hunters who are NOT mounting their deer.
I want your capes. Any bucks that are two and a half years old and older. I am offering cash for every hide or a discount on your Euro mount.
It is very common for hunters who want their deer mounted to need a replacement cape. It’s also common that patches are needed for short capes, cut up capes or gaping holes.

Broome, Chenango, Cortland, Tompkins, Tioga counties are all very close to me.
If you can’t drop off, I WILL come to you and cape your deer on the spot.

Please save this post, screenshot it, save my number.
Text or call anytime if you’re interested.
Thank you for your time and consideration.

Folks, if you have any doubts whatsoever when caping your deer, just tune the legs down to the knees. Cut them off at the joint then pull your skin down the deer exposing the shoulders, disconnect the shoulders and pull of your legs. Then finish skinning your deer down to the neck.

When I’m done, he will finally fit the skin.

Not all deer are beautiful. I had to call it quits at 1 am. I’ll be finishing him later. This brute is scratched, raw, battered and scared up all over. Part of his muzzle is raw and scratched up. Myself and another taxidermist think it’s possible he had his head driven into the ground during a fight.
If it was hair slipping the skin would be white, this boy has a scarred nose that didn’t make it through tanning. Scars and healing scabs normally loosen up and rip/break during the tanning process. Since it’s not strong bonded healed skin it breaks apart in the liquid tan. He had these scabs all over his neck. Being so wide i imagine the bucks he tangoed with slid between his spread and were able to scar up his neck.
My other thought is he had some skin bacterial thing that made him itch his muzzle a lot.

Just my opinion, what’s yours?
