Further Grooming Information: (please read before your next visit) Basic pricing: Pricing is not one size fits all. It is based on time, size, coat type, coat condition, and behavior. For example, a 10lb yorkie on a five week grooming schedule may cost $51, while another 10lb yorkie that gets groomed twice a year and has behavior issues may cost $65. . Pricing for anything ending in doodle: Because “doodles” have such a wide variety of coat types, the prices also vary greatly. Typically, the longer you want their coat left, the longer it takes, and the higher the cost of the groom. Their services average out to $60/hr, but can fluctuate in either direction based on the factors listed above. . *Hourly pricing may also be applied to any breed in full coat Dematting is tough on pets and will only be done on a case by case basis. For your pets comfort, we will not demat a dog’s entire body, or large areas. . Add ons: Every bath/groom includes nail clipping and ear cleaning. Ear plucking can be included upon request. Dremeling ($8 add-on) is the process of using a battery powered hand dremel to smooth out the nails and get them as short as possible. I highly recommend this for every dog. Toothbrushing ($8) I use disposable toothbrushes and enzymatic toothpaste formulated for animals. This is meant to be part of regular dental care. Do not expect your dogs teeth to be plaque free and have fresh breath if you only do this when they visit the groomer. That would be equivalent to shoveling a driveway with a spoon during a blizzard. 😉 . Dremeling and teeth together is $13 . A**l glands ($10) Your dogs have two small sacs on either side of their re**um. These sacs fill with fluid and on occasion may need expression. If your dog is scooting, licking or chewing around it’s back end, or you notice a fishy odor, they likely need their a**l glands expressed. This should only be done with a bath or groom. . Cats: Cat grooms start at $81 and baths start at $55, and may go up based on the same factors listed for dog pricing. Wet or dry Baths are included in the groom price but wet baths are not a guarantee as stress can be fatal to cats. If they don’t react well to the water they do not get bathed. The same goes for the dryer, it is loud and can be stressful so if they don’t react well they will have to air dry. A waterless shampoo is an alternative, stress free option. . Appointment times, tardiness, and no shows: In order to best serve you and your pets, we book appointments back to back so that they are done straight through and as fast as possible. This requires you to be on time for your appointments. If you are running late, call us! However, if you are more than 15 minutes late or we don’t hear from you, your appointment will have to be rescheduled. If you are a no show, a fee will be applied to your next appointment. The same fee will apply if you cancel within 24 hours of your appointment time. This is because the likelihood of being able to fill that slot is low, so that income is lost for the day. If you last minute cancel more than two appointments, you will be required to prepay for your future visits in order to secure a slot. . Pick up: Unless we have made previous arrangements, we require pick up as soon as your dog is done. We always call you 10/20 minutes before they are ready and expect pick up within an hour of their completion. We understand you may be in the middle of an errand or have a napping child, all we ask is that you communicate with us so we know how long your pet will be in our care! We just ask that, you do not use as a daycare, as we also have things to do after work. If we have no arrangement and your dog(s) are left in our care for longer than 2 hours past your completion notification, a daycare fee may be added to your bill. . Dogs with behavior issues: If you are aware of any behavior issue your dog may have, please let us know ahead of time! It doesn’t mean we are going to deny you services. We are much more equipped if we know what we are dealing with beforehand so we can block out proper time. . On the flip side, we will not lie to you about your dog’s behavior. It doesn’t serve either of us for you to not be fully aware of how your dog acts while at the groomer. Most of the time, behaviors can be worked through and improved. But please do not be offended if we tell you that your dog was naughty for any part of the groom - it is more common than you think and it’s not an automatic boot from future visits! . Dogs with extreme behavior or serious health issues (seizures, respiratory problems, heart problems, healing injuries) should be cleared by your veterinarian before any grooming services.
