A great new home for a great new dog
It's a new adventure for Winnie and for me! Welcome home to my sweet new adopted dog, Winnie, a two-year-old Yorkshire terrier mix from the wonderful Trampled Rose Rescue. Winnie's already settled in and has taken on her new role as the official Tall Tails mascot. We can't wait to see what her DNA results reveal, but one thing is for sure—she's 100% loved.
I am so grateful to everyone at the Trampled Rose Rescue for the amazing work they do. If you're looking for your own new best friend, check them out!

It's hard to think that a pet sitter might not have pets of their own! I've had the joy of sharing my life with two amazing dogs over the past 21 years. Jake was my soul dog who saved me, and Emma was my adventurous girl who loved water and snuggles.

After losing Emma over six months ago, I’ve decided it’s time to welcome a new furry friend! It wasn’t an easy choice, but it feels right. I’ve applied to several rescue groups and am ready to find my new companion. Stay tuned for the next icon of Tall Tails Pet Sitting! 🐾✨

Our feline overlords, I mean, beloved companions, have graced us with their presence for millennia! They've perfected the art of napping, demanding treats, and silently judging our life choices, all while providing endless purrs, unexpected zoomies, and enough "entertainment".
But beyond their comedic antics, these furry little therapists actually lower our stress, magically drop our blood pressure (probably by making us too relaxed to care about deadlines), and are basically tiny, purring mental health gurus.

Who needs a shrink when you have a cat staring lovingly into your soul (or just at the treat bag)? Long live the fluff! ❤️🐾

Happy National Work Like a Dog Day! Today, let's celebrate all the devoted pets who work hard every day. As a pet sitter, I'm fortunate to spend my days with these furry friends, who are not just pets - they’re family. Whether it’s wagging tails during playtime or cozy cuddles after a long walk, every moment is a joy.

Here’s to our dogs who remind us to work hard, but also to take a break and enjoy some playtime!

Today I was called to assist with a welfare check for a client, only to discover that my client had passed away days earlier. His dogs were left alone and are now at the shelter, waiting fothe r next steps. Their future is unknown.

It’s heartbreaking—and a reminder: if something happened to you, what would happen to your pets?

Have a plan.
🗝️ Who has a key to care for them right away?
🏠 Who will take them long-term?
💵 How will their needs be funded?
📋 Do you have their routines, vet info, and meds written down?

This isn’t fear—it’s love. Fierce love. Plan now, for their sake.
