If you know me well then you know that I fall hard for all dogs that come through the shop doors!! And when a beautiful Brown Merle Aussie named Smudge came through my door for daycare a few years ago there were no exceptions! We clicked immediately and had an instant bond! He knows my heart, he greets me everyday, we can’t start anything without our morning kisses, when I’m sad he is there to comfort me, when I need a potty break he is there whether I like it or not, he just gets me! He guards me and doesn’t want to share my love with any other dogs.
Then a short while later his sweet fursister, Dolly, came and she captured our hearts as well!!
Long story short, they are moving at the end of the week out of state! And to say I’m devastated would be an understatement! To some these are just dogs but to me they are my best friends and my whole world. Many tears have been shed and more to come I’m sure but I know these sweet fur kids have a beautiful future with their parents in new wonderful places! I just hope they know hope much I love them and how much joy they have brought to my heart and shop!
