Hello Everyone,
Everyone who has a dog, wants their pooch to behave well. In order to achieve that, there is something very important to remember. Good behavior in our dogs, comes from good ownership from us humans.
We must continue loving our dogs, of course. However, we must love them in the proper manner. To truly love our dogs, we must not constantly baby talk with them, or put a cute bandanna around their necks, or buy them monogrammed collars or doggy beds, or constantly hug and kiss them, and such. Of course their is a time and place for those shows of affection for our dogs.
But if you really want to show your dogs that you love them, then provide them with proper exercise. Give them long and structured walks to give them physical and mental stimulation. Set rules, limits, and boundaries for them to contemplate and obey. Give them proper socialization with other people and other dogs. In other words, be their clear and unquestionable pack leader. That is what a dog sees as true love. And that is what makes them feel secure and leads to good behavior in our dogs.
Never stop being affectionate with your furry friends. They really need that as well. But we are not giving our dogs true love without the structure and leadership that they are born needing and wanting. And we will only create stressed out, nervous, fearful, and insecure pooches without it.
Thank you, and good luck!
