*Leaving Chatham between 5:30am and 9am Saturday February 15

The Clinic is CLOSED today as Dr. Jean assists with the Hiawatha Heritage Dog Sled Race this weekend. That means TWO sled dog races have done great work making fun and adventure happen with limited snow.

Cheer the teams on from in-person or afar as we do our doggy snow dances for the rest of the races this season!

Are you keeping up with the latest The UP200, Midnight Run, and Jack Pine 30 news?

Dr. Jean will be busy with Sled Dog adventures through Monday, but we are very excited to have Relief Vets on hand to keep the Clinic active Thursday, Friday, and Monday while she is tending to the athletes.
The Clinic will be closed Saturday so we all can see some of the adventure!

SADLY, THE FINDER WAS UNABLE TO RETRIEVE THE DOG. PLEASE PM THE POSTER IF YOU ARE MISSING A DOG IN THAT AREA.

We were hiking there today. Unfortunately, the sweet pup is dead. Looks like he fell in & got trapped in the rocks at the base of the falls. 😢
I couldn’t stop thinking about him/her & if the family knows what happened. Maybe they were present & simply couldn’t retrieve him. Maybe he was a runaway? Lost & fell in? So sad.

He very easily could have been there for months - maybe since late fall even? Hard to say.
Looked like he was medium sized. Maybe around 40 #? Solid Dark in color on his back anyway - red collar.
If the water wasn't so deep, cold and fast, I would have found a way to at least retrieve his collar so the owner could be notified.

Hello everyone! It has been a bit. Time for an update. I having been hearing good things about the new groomer in Gwinn, Tina Klassic K-9 ... Melissa says she is very nice too 🙂. I have seen her post a few of my furry friends and they look great! As far as my shop I have a meeting with the planning commission in May. But it was always my goal not to leave my customers without having a back up plan. I will be posting updates throughout the next few months. Until then feel free to give Tina a call! I miss you all 🐩🐶🐕
