Last week, I snuck out of the shop early to go out hunting. I couldn't go where I wanted because I had to go to my daughter's volleyball game, which started at 7. So I had to hunt close to home. I am very blessed to have put an arrow in a good buck. I got to the game in time to watch my daughter and their team win their regional play off game. After the game we went out and located the buck with the drone ! What a great night. It weighed 248 live and 199 dressed. Laura had harvested a doe the night before so we doubled up! Thank you Jesus for the delicious meat!

Feeling so blessed to have the career I do and the ability to sneak away once and awhile to hunt. I drew an archery pronghorn tag this year with 3 other buddies. Our first trip out, we ended up with one buck. I'd call that a pretty good success. One of the other guys and I were able to sneak out again last week for 3 days of hunting. On day one, my buddy tagged out. On the second morning I tagged out too! Unbelievable, 3 for 4 archery pronghorn. None of us ever archery hunted pronghorn. To say the least that was an exciting 2 trips for me.

Today we used the thermal drone to recover a nice 10 point buck for a 15 year old. It started yesterday, we went out and found the buck, he was bedded and looked in very bad shape. When they went in to get him just before dark, he jumped up and ran away. So we went back this morning before light, and found the deer. This time he was dead. That was one happy kid!
