Today, we take a moment to recognize and celebrate the incredible people who make veterinary medicine possible.

Being a veterinary professional is so much more than caring for pets. It’s early mornings, late nights, missed meals, emotional conversations, critical emergencies, happy puppy visits, difficult goodbyes, and everything in between. It’s showing up every day with compassion, dedication, and a passion for helping animals who cannot speak for themselves.

Our veterinary teams are there during some of life’s biggest moments—welcoming a new puppy or kitten into the family, helping pets recover from illness or injury, celebrating milestones, and providing comfort and support during heartbreaking goodbyes. Behind every appointment, surgery, treatment, and emergency visit is a team of hardworking individuals committed to providing the best care possible.

Today, we want to thank our veterinarians, veterinary technicians, assistants, client service representatives, kennel staff, management team, and every support staff member who helps keep our hospital running. Your knowledge, teamwork, patience, and compassion make a difference in the lives of pets and their families every single day.

🐾 Now Offering In-Home Euthanasia Services 🐾

Saying goodbye to a beloved pet is one of the most difficult decisions a family can make. To help provide comfort, peace, and dignity during this time, we are now offering in-home euthanasia services for dogs, cats, and pocket pets.

By allowing pets to remain in the comfort of their own home, surrounded by the people and familiar surroundings they love, families can experience a more personal and peaceful farewell.

Service Details:
• Available within a 30-mile radius of our hospital
• Performed by Dr. Brooke Hall, DVM and a veterinary technician
• Available during regular business hours (8:00 AM – 5:00 PM) based on Dr. Hall’s schedule
• $325 fee includes the house call and medications needed for the procedure
• Cremation and paw print memorials are available for an additional cost
• If cremation is selected, Dr. Hall and her technician will respectfully transport your pet back to the clinic with care
• We kindly ask families to schedule 1–2 weeks in advance whenever possible, though accommodations may be made for urgent situations

Our goal is to provide compassionate end-of-life care that allows pets to pass peacefully in a familiar environment while giving families the time and space to say goodbye.

Did you know there are only four internationally recognized hairless dog breeds in the world?

✨ Xoloitzcuintli (Mexican Hairless)
✨ Chinese Crested
✨ Peruvian Inca Orchid
✨ American Hairless Terrier

While these breeds may not have much fur, they certainly don’t lack personality! From the ancient Xoloitzcuintli, which has been a beloved companion for thousands of years, to the energetic American Hairless Terrier, each breed has its own unique history and charm.

Hairless dogs are often mistaken as being “low maintenance,” but their skin requires special care. Because they lack a protective coat, they can be more prone to sunburn, dry skin, and temperature sensitivity. Regular skin care and protection from the elements help keep these unique pups healthy and comfortable.

There are also several rare regional hairless breeds found throughout the world, making these dogs some of the most fascinating and distinctive canine companions around.

🌈🐾 Pet Memorial Day 🐾🌈

Today, we remember the beloved pets who have touched our lives and left lasting paw prints on our hearts. The bond we share with our animals is unlike any other. They are there for life's biggest milestones and quietest moments, offering unconditional love, comfort, loyalty, and companionship every step of the way.

Losing a pet is one of the most difficult experiences many of us will ever face. They are never "just pets." They are family members, best friends, adventure buddies, and cherished companions. The grief we feel after their loss is a reflection of the deep love we shared.

For many families, one of the hardest acts of love is saying goodbye. The word euthanasia means "good death," and while no goodbye ever feels good, it reflects a compassionate choice made to prevent suffering when our pets can no longer enjoy the things they once loved.

These decisions are never made lightly. They come from a place of deep love, putting our pets' comfort above our own heartbreak. In their final moments, we give them one last gift—the gift of peace. Though they may be gone from our sight, the love, memories, and paw prints they leave behind remain with us forever.
