As flowers bloom, so do risks for our pets, with plenty of opportunity for them to breathe in particles, scratch an eye, poke a paw, or even get snagged by a branch or thorn, all of which could potentially lead to infections.

Infections can be sneaky subtle—If your pet is not acting right and you are not sure what it is, get them checked! Like with most conditions, the sooner we treat an infection, the better your pet will feel.

🐾 Last but not least, today we are celebrating Dr. Bruce-Wattier and Dr. Ephlin! ❤️🐾

When talking with Dr. Bruce-Wattier, she shared that she has been with All City for about a year. She loves working with people and their animals and especially enjoys the challenge of emergent cases that come into our clinic.

Fun Facts about Dr. Bruce-Wattier:
• She loves biking with her husband
• She has a 3-legged cat named Peg
• She is a classically trained pianist

When talking with Dr. Ephlin, she shared that she started her career as a mixed animal veterinarian, practicing on animals large and small—from horses and cows to cats and dogs, plus a few other species in between!

Fun Facts about Dr. Ephlin:
• Started her career as a mixed animal veterinarian
• She and her husband have 8 pets
• She enjoys art, reading, and traveling

Happy National Pet Month💜

National Pet Month — a time to celebrate the animals who make our lives brighter, funnier, calmer, and a whole lot more meaningful.

Pets have a way of showing up exactly when we need them most. They make us laugh on hard days, get us outside when we’d rather stay in, and somehow turn the simplest moments—like a ball in the living room or a treat in hand—into something special. Whether they’re goofy, cuddly, chaotic, or all of the above, they remind us daily how good unconditional love feels.

And of course, we couldn’t celebrate without sharing one of our own.💜

Meet Mona. She belongs to one of our ER technicians here at All City Pet Care South & ER, and she is the definition of personality.

Mona is a total daddy’s girl—dad is her whole world, and mom is… well, still trying her best. She’s obsessed with soccer and will happily spend her day chasing, carrying, and showing off her ball like she’s training for the big leagues. She’s got moves too—Mona literally dances for her dinner, and she knows exactly how to turn on the charm when it’s mealtime.

She loves her pack, whether it’s her younger or older housemates, and she keeps everyone entertained by running through the house with a ball in her mouth like she’s announcing herself every time she enters a room. Her favorite reward for all her antics? A chicken twist—non-negotiable.

She’s silly, she’s spirited, a little dramatic in the best way, and everything we love about the pets we get to come home to after caring for yours.

This month, we’re celebrating all pets—past, present, big, small, calm, chaotic, and everything in between—for the joy, comfort, and unconditional love they bring into our lives every single day.

🐾 Today we are celebrating Dr. Hall and Dr. Aesoph! ❤️🐾

When talking with Dr. Hall, she shared that she has been with the clinic for about 1.5 years. She chose veterinary medicine after seeing the pain, suffering, and inadequate care animals experience around the world and wanting to be part of the change. She also shared honestly that human medicine wasn’t the right fit for her, and veterinary medicine allowed her to make a real impact for animals instead.

Fun Facts about Dr. Hall:
• Rescue Diver certified and working toward Divemaster certification
• Currently works part time on Kwajalein in the Marshall Islands with military working dogs
• Sang “Courtesy of the Red, White and Blue” on stage with Toby Keith and Trace Adkins

When talking with Dr. Aesoph, she shared that she has had an affinity for animals from a very young age, and veterinary medicine allows her to turn that passion into meaningful work every day. She loves that no two days are the same and enjoys the problem-solving and adaptability the job requires—especially since patients can’t tell us what’s wrong. She also loves connecting with pet owners, which makes the work even more rewarding. She has been with the clinic since July 1st, about 10 months.

Fun Facts about Dr. Aesoph:
• Has a bifid uvula (double uvula)
• Her graduating high school class had just 15 people
• Has 37 first cousins

🐾 Today we are celebrating Dr. Castro and Dr. Johnson! ❤️🐾

When talking with Dr. Castro, she shared that veterinary medicine was the perfect way for her to combine her love of science, biology, and animals all into one career. She has been working at All City since March 2022, first working as an assistant for a year until receiving her license.

Fun Facts about Dr. Castro:
• Speak 3 languages
• I can paint and draw
• Did a residency in anatomic pathology

When talking with Dr. Johnson, she shared that she went to vet school in Dublin Ireland which was an incredible opportunity to live abroad for 4 years. It is an accredited school, meaning that everything transfers over to the United States like she went to school here. She has been at the clinic for 3 years, going straight into emergency medicine from vet school.

Fun Facts about Dr. Johnson:
• I absolutely love moving and enjoy outdoor activities and water sports
• She recently added a new puppy to her family
• She has a Boston Terrier named Bernard who was born a hermaphrodite with 6 legs. Shout out to the University of Minnesota surgical team for making Bernard the mostly normal dog he is today!
