🐾For diabetic dogs, insulin can be life-saving — but too much insulin may cause blood sugar to drop dangerously low, known as hypoglycemia.



Watch for signs such as:

🐶 Sudden weakness or unusual tiredness

🐶 Shaking, trembling, or twitching

🐶 Stumbling, wobbliness, or poor coordination

🐶 Disorientation or “spacing out”

🐶 Restlessness or unusual behavior

🐶 Vomiting or loss of appetite

🐶 Seizures, collapse, or coma in severe cases



❗️ Low blood sugar can become an emergency quickly. It may happen if a dog receives too much insulin, does not eat enough before a dose, vomits after eating, or has more exercise than usual.

💙 Pet parent reminder: Never adjust your dog’s insulin dose without your veterinarian’s guidance. If you notice symptoms of hypoglycemia, contact your vet or an emergency animal clinic immediately.
