IN-HOME TRAINING

My training program specializes in IN-HOME TRAINING where I come to your home environment. The benefits of this type of training is as follows:

Dogs do not generalize well. That means when they learn a behavior, they learn it very specifically. My In-Home Training will teach you to teach your dog to expand desired behaviors to the rest of the world.

Most Board & Train facilities keep their dogs in kennels. How is your dog supposed to learn the rules of YOUR HOME if they aren't even being trained in one?

My training program is specialized because I work with my clients and their dogs on a one-on-one basis which allows for specific training methods, handling and equipment that is best suited for dog and handler.

I encourage video taking to use as a visual learning tool for my clients.

Training your dog is a lifelong pursuit and I understand the importance of having a support system for my clients. ALL telephonic support is free of charge for the life of your dog.

Finally, the key to good behavior is building a solid relationship with your dog. Your dog should want to listen to you and have a vested interest in doing what you ask. This is why I believe in the importance of In-Home training. This will equip you with: having a better understanding of your dog, learning and applying clear handling techniques, verbal and physical praise, etc.

As an added bonus, the time you spend with your dog engaged in positive training will strengthen your bond and build trust in you.

I would like to commend Shannon and Art for rescuing Luna who grew up during the Covid pandemic which resulted in Luna spending the first year and a half in a back yard where she never received any socialization. As you can imagine, Luna was fearful and lacked confidence when she was introduced to the real world. Art and Shannon changed all that by providing Luna with a loving home and spending many hours of structured training to help Luna overcome her fears. Big thank you to Art and Shannon!
