Flying Dogs Sled and Skijor Races in Silverton coming up soon! We have lined up an exciting event schedule this year!
Check out the Doggie Dash on Sunday after the races! Jog, walk or be pulled by your dog a short distance on the course! Best costume award! Benefit for the Silverton EMS and Mountain Rescue.
Snow forecast is looks great and we cant wait to come to Silverton!

UPDATE: for the 2021 Race

Here is the estimated schedule of events for this weekend's races:
8:30 am Drivers meeting:
9 am: 6 dog sled class
9:30- 2 dog skijor
10- 4 dog sled
10:30- 1 dog skijor
11- 2 dog sled
Noon Junior
12:15 fatbike open class
1: Skijor/fatbike clinic
The trail is a lapped course on the edge of beautiful historic Silverton with the parking area south of the Train Depot. One lap is approximately 2 miles. the Course will be set up to send teams back out on a inner loop connector. The staging area is where the town snow removal stockpiles snow, so the large snow piles make a good visual barrier between this inner connector and the staging area. The course is moderate terrain, a fun course on the edge of scenic historic Silverton!

The Silverton Flying Dogs Sled & Skijor races will not be held in January 2021 due to COVID concerns.
The dogs & their humans are out enjoying the snow so everyone stay safe & healthy!
