A female black brindle Shepherd mix appearing to be 2 years old has been found near Rt 238 and Jillison Road in the town of Attica. No microchip or identification. If missing, please call the Wyoming County Animal Shelter at 585-786-8938.

An Unneutered male black and white Shih Tzu appearing 6 years old has been found near Rt 246 and Old State Road in the town of Covington. No microchip or identification. If missing, please call the Wyoming County Animal Shelter at 585-786-8938.

🥳ADOPTION!🥳

Tyler came to the shelter with another dog - both of which had been left in alone in a trailer during the hottest part of the summer this year. The original owner did tend to them periodically, but not enough to properly care for them. Working with the Wyoming County Sheriff’s Department, the original owner decided to surrender the dogs to avoid animal neglect charges. While in the shelter’s care, AFWC neutered him and microchipped him through their Spay Our Stray program. After a brief stay, he found his forever home promising to take care of him at all times. A reminder that all dogs need proper care if you want to be their owner. Ownership comes with responsibility.
