Scarlett O’Hara spent her life as a mommy dog at a puppy mill in Ohio. She was used to breed doodle mixes until she couldn’t breed anymore. Then she was dumped.

At six years old, she’s looking for her first home ever. Because she was a puppy mill mom she didn’t get a lot of socialization and she’s a little shy. She needs someone patient who can go slow with her and teach her that the world is not scary.

Please, if you are looking to get a doodle mix, make sure you’re asking the right questions - do you health test and and can I see health clearances for both parents? WALK AWAY IF THEY SAY NO!! can I meet the puppies parents? How do you match puppies with families? What do you do with the dogs when you’re done breeding them? What kind of support and health guarantee do you offer? Do you provide a written health guarantee and contract? What are you looking for when you breed dog? (IF THEY SAY COLOR WALK AWAY, good breeders breed for disposition and health ONLY).

Bad breeders aren’t always obvious - they look like regular people and will give you seemingly plausible reasons for not doing things like health tests. Be willing to walk away if it smells wrong. Make sure you do due diligence before you give these people money to mistreat more dogs like Scarlett O’Hara. 🙏

Poppy is an amazing shy dog with medium energy, loves other dogs, and cat tested well so she should probably do OK with proper cat introduction. Check her out on the K-9 website. She’s absolutely amazing.

This baby girl was found abandoned at a truckstop in Georgia. She deserves better. We’ll find you a family, sweetheart.

Thank you to 4 on the Floor Dog Training & Behavior Consulting for including us in another Halloween Extravaganza! The event had dog lovers of all kinds, including pet photographer Megan Purtell, Veterinary Surgical Centers P3 - Perfectly Paired Pitties Rescue, Forever Changed Animal Rescue, AHOTO Animal Rescue, Veterinary Park Potomac, Adam Van Grack, and more!

K-9 adoptable pups Dean, Scarlett, and Frank had an awesome time and even got pup cups and their photo taken.
