East Coast Hay Top Quality Orchard Grass and Alfalfa Hay for horses and other farm animals. Here at East coast hay we farm over 80 acres of orchard grass hay.

We test the soil yearly making sure it gets the right amount of nutrients making our hay very high in protein and also highly digestable. We also have a moisure and temperature tester this insures the hay is dry and cool after baling. We love what we do and take pride in making the best hay we can. We also offer delivery but like sell it right off the farm. We know how expensive it can be feeding

your animals so we do everything we can to reduce our hay prices. Another way we reduce the price of our hay is to sell it right off the field while we are baling, reducing our labor cost so we can sell it to you for an additional 50 cent a bale lower.

All hay has been sold off wagon exept orchard/alfalfa for 10.50 a bale. Looks like second cutting super clean no weeds going to be a rough year we will all lose about halff the first cut and

have only made first cut for the last 4 yrs due to drought. So much rain I may have to Bushhog the first cut alfalfa. There are pre orders for the whole 1000 bales also. Wanted everyone to know what’s going on so you won’t be buying $35 bales from out west.

I just wanted everyone to know we still have not been able to make any hay, and even though we have three dry days, the ground is so wet, it will just absorb the moisture back into the hay once the hay is dry on the third day before bailing, this will make it dusty. So unfortunately, we’re all having to wait until the ground dries and we have a hotter days. I will get some pictures of the field right when I’m cutting it which will give everybody 3 to 5 days before it is dry to make arrangements to pick it up off of wagons to save three dollars a bail. Thanks again for everyone’s patience. We are going just as nuts here and having to wait lol

Pre orders are filling up. Only about 300 left of the alfalfa/timothy 80/20 mix left for pre order at $9 a balee off the wagon. Anything that’s left will be $12.50 off the barn floor. Should be ready May 15th.
