We live on 33 acres, nestled in the rolling hills of Lincoln County, Missouri where we have chosen a path towards self-sufficiency. We have a 3,000 square foot vegetable garden, fruit trees, nut trees and berry bushes and we preserve the bounty each fall. Our motto: Maybe a person's time would be as well spent raising food as raising money to buy food. We call our homestead Providence Farm as we f

eel that we have been blessed with our little piece of the Promised Land. We started our homestead with chickens, guineas and meat rabbits. Next we purchased piglets and Nigerian Dwarf dairy goats and soon realized we needed a Livestock Guardian dog for protection of the flock. We purchased our first Great Pyrenees in 1998, quickly fell in love with this Majestic breed. Our dogs are selected for excellent conformation, temperament and superior genetics, intelligence and livestock guardian capabilities. Our dogs descend from a long line of Spanish, French, Belgium & AKC Champions and have starred in the Disney movie Santa Paws 2. Our Great Pyrenees provide the livestock and our family with unwavering protection and love. Our Great Pyrenees are steadfast in their guardian traits and we have not lost any livestock to predators since obtaining the Pyrs. Obtaining a Great Pyrenees from a true working farm makes all the difference in the world! The Pyrs work the pastures as a team and it truly is a sight to behold!

🥰 A sweet pupdate from Osa’s Pyrents 🥰 Her Momma writes: Osa is sweeter than ever as a 5 year old! Currently she is enjoying swimming, chasing bunnies, and playing with her ball. She has also become very skilled at somersault rolling whenever she doesn’t want to come inside. She makes us laugh endlessly. Despite being as silly as can be, she is still the fiercest protector of us and our home. She loves patrolling the back yard and barking to scare off anything she views as a threat- including her own shadow at times. 😆
