Just to help clear up some confusion regarding Mission RISE…
The Pleasant Hill Animal Shelter graciously allowed Daisy’s Dane Sanctuary to utilize part of their building due to the size of this operation, but this is still a Daisy’s Dane Sanctuary rescue operation and my team is fully caring for these animals.
Less than half of the dogs are being housed there while the remaining dogs are at DDS. DDS is providing the staffing, volunteers, supplies, medical coordination, cleaning, feeding, bedding, medications, intake evaluations, and daily care for ALL of the dogs involved.
This setup is temporary while we work to clear the dogs medically, monitor for contagious illness, and begin safely moving dogs into foster homes. The shelter also has an exam room, which has made the massive amount of veterinary exams and medical intake much easier on Dr. P and our medical team during this operation.
After working through the night completing physical exams, identification verification, and cross-checking every animal against intake documentation, we now have finalized animal counts for the operation:
75 total dogs.
• 38 Great Danes over 6 months old
• 36 Great Dane puppies
• 1 doodle
In addition to the dogs, Daisy’s Dane Sanctuary also took custody of:
• 2 cockatiels
• 1 boa constrictor
• 4 scorpions
• 1 tarantula
• 1 sugar glider
Large-scale seizure operations are extremely fluid during active removal, transport, medical triage, and intake processing. Final verified numbers are always confirmed after hands-on examination and documentation review once animals are safely secured.
My volunteers are rotating between locations constantly and we are using our own rescue supplies and resources throughout this entire operation.
Please do not question the integrity of this operation or attempt to create division between rescues, shelters, or organizations stepping up to help animals in crisis. The shelter and I partnered because that is what good people in rescue do. When animals need help, we work together. Period.
This operation has required massive coordination, resources, manpower, and community support. Instead of questioning why organizations are helping one another, please understand that collaboration is exactly how lives get saved in situations like this.

We are incredibly thankful for the support, temporary space, volunteers, fosters, and people showing up for these animals. ❤️
