We’re excited to announce the arrival of Betsy’s puppies! Seven sweet and healthy yellow labradors. We’re over the moon.

Betsy is the yellow female lab we kept from Liberty’s final litter. We continue to miss Libby Lou and seeing these grand-pups reminds us of how great of a mother she was.

They say it is better to have loved and lost than to never have loved at all.

Liberty was the very best dog. She was loving, loyal, and had the patience of a saint. Watching her maternal instincts kick in with both litters was special to watch. She taught her pups right from wrong and how to be loving dogs.

Unfortunately, Liberty’s trusting personality is what got her in the end when she got to close to the UPS truck in our driveway and was ran over. Wyatt was yelling for her to move out of the way, but it was too late. The driver felt awful. Truly, he did. Later, someone from UPS came to our house to apologize. He was teary eyed as he like many other drivers had come to love Liberty over the years.

If you’re lucky enough to have one of Liberty Lou’s puppies, hold them extra tight tonight. They are her living legacy here on earth to spread her never ending love.

Our family is grieving this big loss. But we know she’ll be waiting across the rainbow bridge for us.
