We had an absolutely amazing turnout for our May Vaccine Clinic with Dr. Barnes yesterday! A huge thank you to everyone who brought their fur babies out to keep them healthy, happy, and up-to-date on their wellness care. Dr. Barnes and the team loved seeing so many familiar faces and meeting some new ones, too!

Kyha, a young, Service Dog Prospect🐾

This young Standard Poodle is currently in our DayTrain Program, getting the foundation every future service dog needs—and she’s taking it all in stride.

In this video, Kyha is learning to ring the bell —but it’s not just a cute trick. This is where it starts.

We’re teaching:
✔️ Association – connecting actions to outcomes
✔️ Problem solving – learning to think, not just react
✔️ Confidence – working through new tasks independently
✔️ Engagement – choosing to work with her handler

Through structured enrichment games like this, Kyha is building the mental framework that will later transition into advanced service work and task training.

Service dogs aren’t made overnight.
They’re built through clear communication, structured learning, and purposeful exposure
—and that’s exactly what she’s getting here.

And just like every great DayTrain dog…
👉 her mental, physical, and emotional needs are all being met in one day
👉 she goes home tired, fulfilled, and ready to learn more

Day 4 complete. ✈️🐾

Yesterday we wrapped up our Service Dog Handler Course at the airport—working dogs through security and walking handlers step-by-step through what it actually looks like to fly with a service dog.

Real environments. Real expectations. Real confidence built on both ends of the leash.

This is where training comes together.

Meet Sofi 🐾

Sofi is a young German Shepherd currently working through our One-on-One Training Program, where every session is tailored specifically to her and her handler.

Right now, Sofi is building a strong foundation in:
✔️ Basic obedience commands
✔️ Reliable recall
✔️ Engagement and focus with her handler

But what really sets her training apart is *how* we’re doing it.

Instead of throwing her into a chaotic group class, Sofi is learning in a controlled training environment. We carefully introduce distractions using our fully trained dogs, allowing us to create real-world scenarios without overwhelming her.

This means:
👉 She learns how to stay focused around other dogs
👉 We can adjust the difficulty based on her progress
👉 Every repetition is intentional, not random

In a typical group class, dogs are often overstimulated, distracted, and owners get limited guidance. It becomes more about managing chaos than actually training.
