It's with a heart heart that we again laid one of our beloved herd members to rest. Today we lost Fat Tony as we knew him or Toby by his family. This fall he was diagnosed with an aggressive nasal tumor and we believed we only had until spring with him. He sure proved us wrong and was happily living out his days with his 4 legged friends and his girl Lydia until this week when he went downhill. Today we laid him to rest on his family farm surrounded by his most important people. We knew this was coming but it never gets easier. This makes four for us this past year and I fear there are more to come. Our hearts are heavy knowing over half our heard are senior citizens. 💔

We found our best retiree late last night with facial paralysis. We are working on finding out the cause of this and treatment plan. This is an EPM suspect until proven otherwise. Neurologic treatments are never cheap but our old guy deserves the best. If anyone would like to donate to his care you can use the link below. Treatment for EPM can be anywhere between 500-1000$ for the first month and treatment can be several months long.

All lessons on April 12th will be rescheduled due to the baby shower of our expected farm hand! Please reach out to Larissa if a makeup lesson has not been scheduled yet or if any other makeup sessions from March are still needed. All current and previous HHS families are more than welcome to come celebrate with us at 1pm! We can't wait to see everyone on Saturday.

As the weather improves and everyone enjoys getting out and about please remember if you feel unwell please do not come to sessions. Many of our team members (instructor, volunteers, myself) are immunocompromised and not only are unable to perform their tasks if unwell but will experience extreme illness. Without our support team we struggle to get the daily tasks for the horses done.
Lessons are canceled for today.
If anyone would like to clean stalls or feed dinner today please let me know.

There are many projects we are hoping to get done for the farm and veterinary upkeep for the therapy horses we hope to get done for their wellness. Hope to see you all at the fall campout this Saturday!
Costumes will go around 5pm.
We will have lots to snack on and if the weather works out we will have a bonfire going. All our riders are welcome to come hangout and campout out with us for the night. Bring your own horse costumes and tents!

Schedules will be continue to rearrange and be flexible for the coming month so stay posted! We are also welcoming new clients during this time as always.

Due to medical emergency we will have a few changes to the lesson schedule and instructors in the coming weeks. We will be in touch shortly to let everyone know how that affects lessons and 4h leases. Until then lessons are running as planned today.
