Shortsville Bark Park All news and updates that relate to the Bark Park. Open from dusk to dawn. A volunteer run park. Volunteers and donations always appreciated.

Donations can be made at CNB to Shortsville Bark Park. Park closed when raining or wet enough to leave a dog print in the dirt.

If you would like to be a dog park ambassador, please send a message with your name and cell phone number and any questions. This would entail park maintenance and issues, rule enforcement while down at the park, fundraising efforts, etc… There is potential for big dog park to open tomorrow.

There is no date for reopening of park. Last post was to generate input for security cameras. The security cameras would only be for dog parks not anything else, that is on village for further surveillance.
We will not do a gated code entry. This is a great expense and involves using tax payers money. We also want to encourage meeting other dog owners.
If anyone is interested in helping to do some park maintenance this week please message us. The fence needs to be retightened, entrance stained, w**d whacking inside the fenced area, and filling in any holes or gaps in fence perimeter.

How are we all feeling about installing some solar cellular security cameras? Particularly Reolink. A given number of people could be given user name and password to monitor footage. Reasons would be for enforcing dog park rules, public shaming of people not picking up p**p or bringing poor behaved dogs, weather/grass conditions, and potentially identifying vandalism.

Edit: Dog parks remain closed by village of shortsville. Talk to village board members Ernie, Ron, Matt about reopening of park. There is a village meeting tomorrow at 6pm.

The large dog park is going to remain closed until possibly mid may. The ground is still so soft and we have another inch of rain coming in next 48 hours 😞.

Dog parks closed until further notice. We will be also be posting dates for volunteers to help cod annual spring clean up and to help with staining of wood structures.
