Shrek is headed to our vet for his 3rd weekly bandage/splint change, for his arm fracture. He’s such a funny cat. And he loves his car rides lol.

When we arrived for his drop off appt (he’s being sedated for his splint charge), he was greeted with love & affection, cuddles, photos from last weeks visit & stories about how much he is loved by our vet staff.

We are so very fortunate to have such caring, loving & supportive (& not to mention skilled!) vet care here. I can’t express enough how lucky we really are. Thank you Summitview Cowiche Vet Clinic, for all you do for us! We can’t say it enough but you are so very appreciated!

Shrek will be ready to go home this afternoon & cross another splint change off his busy schedule of being adorable 😉

We just picked up Lola and her surviving 5 babies! Heading to their new foster home to get her set up and comfortable, where she can relax and raise the babies in a safe & consistent environment. She’s a great mama & we are sad that she lost 3 but she is doing her best to keep these 5 littles safe and well fed.

Lola is coming from the same environment as the 4 sick kittens that were surrendered to us yesterday, after seeing a post in another FB group where their caregiver was at her wits end and they were being threatened to be abandoned in a box. We didn’t know about Lola and her babies until we arrived to pick up the other 4…and they appear to be Lola’s last litter.

This poor girl has been bred over and over, in her short life.

No more babies for you, litte Miss. These 5 will be your last and your days as a teen mama will soon be over! On to the life of relaxation, cuddles and cat naps without the requirement of being a 24hr food truck.

***UPDATE: FOSTER SECURED W/ONE OF OUR LONG TIME “MAMA & WEE” LITTER FOSTERS***

This is Lola.

Lola has now had 3 litters. She is not even 1.5yrs old.

I will preface by saying that her current situation- they’ve been trying to get help for quite some time. But are financially & physically limited with what they can do. The environment in not great but their caretaker is 100% trying her best. We we continue to help there where we can!

We left food and some supplies for now.

We were there today to pick up 4 kittens being surrendered & learned Lola just had these babies 3 days ago. Three have died. One as a result of the visual impairments of their caretaker- not malicious. But still preventable.

We need a safe, calm home where Lola can raise her babies, before being spayed & fully vetted (along with her babies) and finding their forevers.

What kind of person…

It takes a “special” kind of person (& I mean “special” as in a**hole that can rot) to throw 2 approx 4wk old kittens off a bridge 😡

This happened *in* Yakima.

These two babies were seen being thrown off the bridge & fortunately off the side that was closer to the ground so landed in dirt & them scooped up by a kind unhoused gal from the area, who got them help.

I’m know things can get bad in life but please people, there are ALWAYS resources. Some take work, some require a little patience but no amount of deadline or situation warrants purposely trying to end the life of an animal because they are not convenient for you.

This little man was sick when firdt being taken in. He’s come a long way and traveled far (from Yakima to Lynnwood) to find his family.

He’s super sweet- purrs almost nonstop lol. His family is going to love him so much!

Searching for forever family or foster home!

Needed in the Seattle area for foster. Adoption: we will transport as we require a hoke visit as part of our adoption process.

This mama and her single kitten were witnessed being dumped from a car in the Yakima area. Even chased after the car but the car drove away without looking back. The witnesses did not get a good look at the car, plate or driver.

Mama is approx 1.5yrs old. Her mini me is approx 4 months.

They get spayed/chipped and start their vaccines on Tuesday, with wellness exam. And will have a booster for their FVRCP Vaccine 2 weeks later.

They are incredibly sweet, and our foster says that they are calm, happy and mellow ladies. They will need to stay together.

🎶Just sit right back and you’ll hear a tale, a tale of a fateful trip, that brought us 3 young baby cats who were all sadly sick.

They came to us scared, thin & ill, with goopy eyes so thick. But see how big & strong they are after their long “get healthy” trip.

The girls are Ginger & MaryAnn, with brother: Gilligan. They’re fixed and vaxxed; great with dogs and cats, also with children!

Our polydactly gal, Muffin, has found the best forever home!

She started foster-to-adopt today, with her mom and her new kitty and dog siblings! She loves her comfy spots to lounge and immediately made herself right at home in a stack of pillows where she quickly fell asleep, with two of her kitten brothers: Thumbledore (aka Ruegen, also polydactyl like Muffin) and Bumblebee.

Since she has all of her pre-adoption medical complete, she started her two weeks acclimation period, to settle in and learn her new fam & home life, before we finalize adoption, so she can bond with her new fam.

Have a great time with your new mom & pals, Muffin! We’ll see you soon!

Little Miss Poppy is on her way to meet her forever family!

This little gal has had quite the journey: from Yakima, WA., now headed to Hood Canal, WA. Taking her first ferry ride and she’s excited!

She may or may not have also been smiling her best to also attempt to get a piece of ferry snack, here too 😂

Her new home has people around all the time & a new doggo brother which she is going to be very excited for!

Lime & Coconut are off to begin foster-to-adopt with their new family!

The girls were going to be starting later this week but, thanks to their great foster mama Whitney, she was able to help take them & get them set up, since we were still out of town. So, the girls are settling in, in their new life & taking everything in!

They will have two weeks acclimating to their new home & family before official adoption, through our foster-to-adopt program.

Enjoy yourself ladies & have so much fun with your next chapter!

Hi everyone!
I’m Melody & I run Emerald City Rescue Coalition!

I am a previous independent rescuer (greater than 20 years) who started our rescue in 2023.

All of our kittens and kitties (as well as dogs) live in foster homes- We are strictly foster based.

I am independently run, we are self-funded & working towards 501(c)3. But we currently fund care through OT shifts, in people medical, & with the help of our rescue core.

We have a number of really great kittens & kitties. Bonded pairs, under 6 months old, between 6m-1.5 years & a few seeet okder gals whonare approx 6yrs old. And, we do ALL their medical (not just age appropriate) so there is nothing routine medical needed until annual wellness exam with booster vaccines in a year after adoption. **We do recommend our families set up an appt to establish care with their vets after final adoption, for their vets to get eyes on them & be able to obtain all medical docs we provide.**

Our adoption fees include:
-Spay/Neuter
-Rabies vaccines
-FVRCP Kitten vaccines series (3 vaccine series)
-Microchip
-Wellness Exam
-preventative flea/tick/ear mite treatment

Our adoption fees also then go right back in to medical care for the next group of kitties and dogs in our care.

They are all litter trained, socialized with other kitties, kids and most also with dogs.

I am based out of south Everett. We have many fostering in the greater seattle area, Snohomish County, King County & Yakima County.

We travel all over WA for our families as well.

Paprika & Curry enjoyed a little out of carrier time while waiting for the ferry, headed to their forever home!

These boys found the best home: lots of love, laps, sunny spots, view of the water & lots of inside space to roam & play.

They’ll send the next two weeks settling in & learning their new life & cuddling up with dad, before we officially finalize adoption.
