Drive. I love it. Working with it, building it, capping it, teaching it, manipulating it, integrating it. There’s so much you can do with drive when you actually learn how to work with it.

I love high-drive dogs. I love high-drive humans, too. Different drive states. Switching between them. Knowing when to build something up and when to bring it back down. Turning work into play and play back into work.

One of my favorite things is watching a dog start to understand their own drive instead of just being pulled around by it. And when the human’s drive complements the dog’s, things can get really interesting.

But what happens when it doesn’t?
