Our first foal went off to her to new home today. Storm found an awesome home and we are excited to stay in touch with her owners and see her progress!

Moved the mares and foals to another pasture before we start weaning groups. These foals have sure grown with all this green grass!

I dont post about John as much as I should but now that breeding season is over, its time to get put back to work! First time hes been outside riding in almost 2 years and he didnt miss a beat and was happy to be chasing cows!

Mindy is another mare we were fortunate enough to snag from Ashley Quarter Horses. She is a super friendly and very well put together mare and was bred to their really nice Famous Six Moons (Dash Ta Fame x Martha's O Toole) stud. Mindy was a maiden and is already and excellent mom!

This year has been full of highs but it seems to be a year of great lows as well. I try to only share the happy side of breeding but thats not the reality. With breeding/raising any livestock comes heartache and tough decisions. Yesterday I had to make the call and put Panda down, she was battling an infection at the vet and infection had become to severe. As tough as this loss is for me, Panda also has a filly (Elektra) that is struggling with it as well. I bucket fed her yesterday and so far she has been doing well with drinking milk from the bucket so with a little time I believe she (and I) will adjust to life without Panda.
Panda was one of my favorites and she will be greatly missed in our program.

Jenga is another mare we were fortunate to add from Ashley Quarter Horses and not only does she have great confirmation but she stunning and as sweet as they come. Jenga was in foal to their bay roan Driftwood bred stallion and had an outstanding bay (looks like she may roan) filly!

Pixi is a new mare to us and came from Ashley Quarter Horses along with 3 other mares and we are grateful to have apart of their program with these 4 mares!
Pixi had a beautiful bay filly (may potentially roan out) by a really nice bay roan Driftwood bred stud! Can not wait to see this filly fill out and have Pixi apart of our program!

Shade was our last mare bred to our stud and she gave us a stunning red roan filly! This filly is going to make for an outstanding all around prospect!
