I am deeply saddened by Mary Annes's passing. She was an amazing women and a personal mentor. She guided and helped me with cat and kitten rescue since I moved to Shiner 18 years ago. She was unstinting in her generosity giving time, advice, and valuable resources. She loaned me traps, she gave me medicines, vaccines and cages. She taught me how to give IVs to dying kittens. Without her I would not have been able to accomplish a fraction of what I did for cats in Shiner during my time as an Animal Service Officer. I hope her legacy will live on in the work we continue to do for our animals. I will miss her.
