Thank you to everyone who purchasd kids and adults from me this year! Last weekend Apollo and Soup went to Apollo’s original breeder and I cannot be more happy! As I am with where everyone went this year.

I do have Jett available for sale as a buck after the end of October(someone is renting him). If he doesn’t sell before mid November he will be banded.

I am officially down to my main herd of keepers. And unfortunately will no longer be breeding. I am happy with my 11 goaties and they get to just be pets on my little hobby farm!

As always thank you to my family and Benton for helping me out when needed. Also, please remember if you EVER need to rehome a goat you’ve gotten from me in the past, please reach out. If I am able I am always willing to take them back.

Poppy kidded between my 3am and 5am alarms. Unfortunately, it must have been a rough birth. She lost 2 of her 3 kids. But the surviving baby is a big boy! Might try to put one of Rheas kids onto her as her udder is massive. Poor momma! But this kiddo is a cutie!

Rhea was nice and waited to kid until I got home from B’s birthday party and had a nap before she started popping out these 3 gorgeous kiddos! 2 bucks and a doeling. Doeling will likely be retained! So proud of this girl, I was really worried she was going to have like 6!

Anyone in my area knowledgeable and capable of disbudding my kids this spring? Will likely be 1-2 weeks old around the 20th of April as long as kidding goes as planned. I have an iron and box if needed and will pay you for your time and gas to come to the farm.

Yesterday I sent two of my OG does off to their new home. Miss Dorothy and Blanche. Yes I cried like a baby. I wasn’t actively looking to rehome them but I felt this was a perfect place for them! A family farm where they will be milked and loved on a whole lot more than I can offer. They were also exposed to Mr. Apollo before they left! 🥰❤️🥺 love you girls, miss you already! Rehoming adults is so difficult!

It has been a rough start to the beginning of the year. As I do every winter I send off fecals for Johnes testing. Unfortunately, I had two positives! I tried racking my brain of every possible way they could have contracted it. I resent in fecals for the two positive does (Sephie and CeCe) because I just felt like it was wrong and some how became contaminated. I did pick Sephies up off the ground or maybe somehow my gloves contaminated it. Sephie is a home bred doe and has never left the property! THANKFULLY they BOTH came back negative!! I will still retest all 4 bred does before kidding to take necessary steps in case they somehow come back positive. I will also test Ce at that time too. And then every 6 months for awhile.

There should be no concern with past goats that have left the farm.
