Some pets come into our lives for a season, but they stay in our hearts forever.

Today, we remember the beloved companions who are no longer by our side. The ones who greeted us at the door, slept in our favorite spot, made us laugh, drove us a little crazy, and somehow became such an important part of our families.

Sometimes the signs aren’t obvious. A change in behavior, slowing down, hiding more than usual or suddenly avoiding activities they normally enjoy can be your pet’s way of telling you something isn’t right.

While many cats would rather skip the bath entirely, that dripping faucet? Suddenly fascinating. Moving water can appeal to a cat’s natural instincts, and a pet fountain can even be a great way to encourage your cat to drink more.

🚧🐾 Exciting construction update from Dr. Grayson Riddles!

Things are moving quickly at our new Lange Veterinary Hospital! Over the next couple of weeks, crews will be pouring concrete for our back parking lot. Once it’s complete, our team will be able to park in the back, which should help free up much-needed parking out front. 🙌

We know construction can be inconvenient, and we truly appreciate your patience as we work through it. We promise, it’s going to be worth the wait!

In the meantime, we are OPEN and here for all your pet care needs. ❤️

🐶 Is your dog panting? It might not be because of the heat.

With these hot Texoma days, it's normal to see dogs panting after a walk, a game of fetch, or time spent outside. Panting is their natural way of cooling down since dogs don't sweat like we do.

But not all panting is normal.

⚠️ Keep an eye out for signs like:
• Panting while resting in a cool room
• Labored or raspy breathing
• Panting accompanied by excessive drooling, weakness, or changes in gum color

These symptoms can be signs of overheating, pain, illness, or another medical issue and shouldn't be ignored.

When in doubt, it's always best to have your pet evaluated. If you're concerned about your dog's breathing or they're showing any of these warning signs, give our team a call. We're here to help keep your pets happy, healthy, and safe all year long.
