This is Hammy!
He is a pittie mix around 5 months old and 19 pounds. We pulled him from Sangamon County Animal Control after he was found as a stray. He is good with other dogs and loves people! He walks well on a leash, knows “sit” and does OK in his crate. He will need continued training. Hammy will be at HAIR OF THE DOG BAR/BERSHOP Saturday from 12-2pm. This is Shadow!
She is a charcoal Lab around a year old and 56 pounds. Her owner could no longer keep her because she had too much energy for the small children in the home. She is very sweet and outgoing! She does ok with other dogs with proper introduction. She is fine with cats and older kids. She is also house trained and crate trained. She would do best in an active home.
Shadow will be at HAIR OF THE DOG BAR/BERSHOP Saturday from 12-2pm.

He is an 11 year old Wheaten Terrier and weighs around 39 pounds. Sadly, Yogi’s owner recently passed away, and now this gentle boy is hoping for a soft place to land where he can spend his golden years. He is house trained and good with other dogs and cats. This is Millie!
She is a little mixed breed around a year old and only 6 pounds. Her owner could no longer keep her because their child was allergic. She is great with other dogs, kids and cats. Millie is crate trained and walks well on a leash. She is doing well with potty training. She had a couple accidents the first day but is doing great now that she is on a routine. She is very sweet and laid back. She likes to be with people and will follow you everywhere. This pretty girl is Dolly!
She is a 3 year old Border Collie around 45 pounds. She is very sweet and outgoing! She does well with older kids but gets a little bouncy when excited, so we recommend a home with no toddlers or very small children. Dolly is crate trained, house trained and walks well on a leash. She does great with other dogs and loves going for walks. She did not react to the cat when cat- tested on a leash but does have a high prey drive with small animals.
Border Collies are known for being one of the most intelligent and energetic breeds out there! They thrive with structure, activity, and mental stimulation. A home where Dolly gets regular exercise, playtime, and some “jobs” to do (like learning tricks, agility, or fetch) would be ideal.
If you’re an active person or family who loves being outdoors, Dolly will be your perfect sidekick.

Meet Petey!
This handsome guy was found as a stray a few weeks ago, but despite efforts, no one came forward to claim him. Now he’s looking for a forever home!
Petey is a mixed breed, around a year old, and weighs 48 pounds. He has a wonderful temperament…laid back, sweet, and easygoing. Petey gets along great with other dogs, is kid-friendly, cat-friendly, and even does well with chickens and other farm animals!
He’s house trained, crate trained, and listens well off-leash…what more could you ask for?

Josie has been waiting 5 long months to find her forever home. If you are looking for a couch potato or an adventure buddy- Josie is your girl! She is so sweet, cuddly and loves attention. She is playful with other dogs, walks well on a leash, is crate trained and likes car rides. She loves playing fetch and will bring the ball back every time. The story of Sammy & Silas-
These two buddies were thrown outside and abandoned when their owner moved away. Sammy never left Silas’ side even after he was injured. We were sent the first three pictures and knew we had to help them both. Sammy is a mini Goldendoodle around 9 months old and 18 pounds. Silas is estimated to be around a year old and under 10 pounds. Sammy is very sweet, crate trained and great with other dogs & cats. Silas is very friendly and litter-trained. This is Sadie! She is a Dachshund mix around 3 years old and 14 pounds. Her owner could no longer keep her due to having medical issues. She is shy at first but warms up quickly. Sadie loves cats and does ok with other dogs with a slow introduction. She is crate trained and seems house trained once she is on a routine. She would do best in a quiet home and would make a great companion for someone who is home often. Buddy is a senior Rottweiler looking for a home! He estimated to be around 8-10 years old. We received him a few months ago from a rural animal control after he was found running loose out in the country. He was skinny, missing hair and in rough shape. He is finally looking and feeling better and ready for a home of his own (with a soft bed and lots of treats) to live out his senior years. He is a super sweet, outgoing boy and his nub tail is always wagging! He may be a senior but he still likes to run around the fenced yard like a puppy. He walks well on a leash, is crate trained and does well with other dogs. He did not react when cat tested. This is Dundee! He is a little mixed breed around 4 years old and 16 pounds. We recently pulled him from Sangamon County Animal Control & Adoption Center after he was found as a stray and not claimed. He is the sweetest little guy and very calm. He does great with other dogs both big and small. He sleeps all night in his crate with no issues.
