Met two new pups(Dino and Lulu) yesterday. They will be starting training with us here in a couple weeks after Lulu recovers from her spay. Got to love making new friends and helping families out in the process. Really looking forward to bringing this family a little closer together!

Hi and thanks for considering For the Love of Dogs for your training needs. If you're looking for training options you're in luck!
All our obedience classes are one day a week for 1 hour and will last 6 weeks. However accomodations can be made if needed. I am happy to work around your schedule and will do my best to make training a pleasant experience for both you and your dog.

WHAT TYPES OBEDIENCE CLASSES DO WE OFFER? I'M GLAD YOU ASKED.

Basic classes are the corner stone of obedience. It is a great place for dogs to socialize and learn their manners. In basic class our focus will be on many common commands in the dog world such as; sit, lay down, come, shake, stay and one of my favorites leave it. We also cover how to walk on a leash without pulling. These commands are important because they will help you start to communicate your needs to your pet.

After basic class you may proceed to intermediate where we build upon these cues and work on preforming them with increased distance and distraction as well as adding a few new commands such as heel and place. Once the intermediate course has been mastered we move into advanced.

Advanced training is a lot of fun. We continue building on our previous skills yet again and learn techniques like touch and how to open doors. You can also turn lots of easy tricks into fun things to show off for your friends and family or just to have fun with your furry family member like weaving through legs, army crawling and agility. With these cues and lots of practice you and your pooch will be ready to take on the world!

Here at For the Love of dogs we want to help open up the lines of communication between you and your pet. We can help with basic, intermediate and advanced training as well as behavioral training for any specific issues you may be having. Basic through advanced are all separate classes consisting of 6 1 hour sessions and are covered in more detail in a later post. These will run a flat rate as long as the drive for me is 30 minutes or less and can be worked around your schedule for convenience. I will go further than that but will need to charge a bit more to cover my gas and such to get there.

Specialized training can also be molded around your schedule but prices and times may vary as these issues can take extra time to address properly. We offer in home and in public sessions and I am more than happy to sit down for a free evaluation so we can talk about yours and your pets needs. I work off of referrals and will have specials for anyone who sends new customers my way. Lets help make the world a better place for pets together!
