Savannah Eaves is a 2019 graduate from the University of Findlay with a Bachelor of Science degree in both Western Equestrian Studies and Equine Business Management. She has been involved with horses since she was a child and began competing in local schooling shows and 4-H shows around Robertson county, Tennessee around the age of 13. She then gained interest in the American Ranch Horse Association (ARHA,) and competed throughout senior high. During her time at the University of Findlay, Savannah has been exposed to all aspects of the equestrian industry. She has ridden and trained horses which have been successful in the western all-around events such as western pleasure, trail, and horsemanship. She is especially successful with horses within the ranch versatility disciplines. Savannah joined UFās Ranch Horse Team her freshman year and remained a member all four years of her college career, going on to serve as the teamās president her senior year (2018-2019.)
During her time in college Savannah spent two summers working at JML Farms assisting with general farm responsibilities, horseback riding lessons, and management. The summer of 2018 she stayed in Findlay, Ohio and began working for OāBrien Quarter Horses where she was exposed to the AQHA show circuit. Savannah got first-hand experience working with clients preparing horses for the show ring. She rode horses preparing for horsemanship, hunter under saddle, trail, and western riding. During her time with Art OāBrien, she was given the opportunity to show a clientās horses at the 2018 American Ranch Horse Association World Show where she went on to win a world championship title in the herdwork on āBig Stylinā Catā and fifth place in the boxing with āSolid on a Tuesday.ā Savannah additionally worked for the Ohio Quarter Horse Association during the All-American Quarter Horse Congress behind the scenes for the trail crew for three years in a row.
Savannah specializes in Ranch Versatility disciplines such as ranch riding, ranch reining, ranch trail, boxing, and ranch pleasure. Additionally, Savannah offers c**t starting and finishing from the ground up. She also offers show preparation and tune-ups for the all-around show pen. Savannah is known best for her positive attitude, dependability, and passion for horses. Above all, Savannah believes the horsesā well-being come first and foremost. You should always love the horse first, and the sport second.
