Meet Dani. Thanks to Deb and Robert this puppy life was saved. She was dumped on a country road outside Troup. She is about seven pounds and the finders paid for her worming and first vaccines. We have found an adopter and working out transport to Colorado border. Any donations for her vet bill and transport will be greatly appreciated.

Regarding the horse that Barbara Drabek posted about a day ago I have spoken with Sgt Montemayor with Lavaca County Sheriff Office this afternoon around 2:38 pm. I spoke to him about the horse being penned up where the horse can’t move about. To even try to stay warm. I do not know if these people live in the travel trailer part time or if there is even anyone there to break up the ice on the water the horse has as the temps are way below freezing. Also advised that the horse needs feed as well as hay. Sgt Montemayor told me that he had tried to contact the owner before he called me and was unable to reach the owner I told Sgt Montemayor that Hooves and Hounds would offer a place for the horse if the owner can bring him out. I asked Sgt Montemayor to give the owner our phone number. Sgt Montemayor told me he would call me back sometime later could be late. Wish the owner would have made provisions for the horse as the situation the horse is in is not good. There is no room for this horse to move to try and generate energy to deal with the cold.
I will drive by the location tomorrow and see if there is anyone at the location that is tending to this horse. I hope the owner contacts us so this horse is not stuck like a dog on a chain in this cold
