Usually I post about our riders’ show ring successes—but this time it’s about who they are as people. I can’t say enough good things about the work-ethic, resilience, commitment, responsibility and self-direction shown by these young people. In a world where so many kids are stuck in front of a screen, they are tacking horses, packing the trailer, supervising summer campers, and pushing themselves to be the best riders they can be.
We’ve had 4 hot weeks of summer camp—and they were key to making all of them a huge success. And, right in the middle of those camps we had Indy Charity & HOOF KY. These kids were there to prepare and perform with skill, grace and humility. Now they’re in the middle of boot camp to polish their skills for Academy Nationals.
So this post is to send s huge THANK YOU to Morgan and the whole Academy team for all of your hard work this summer, and being such wonderful role models for our younger kids!!
