Happy First Day of Autumn! Enjoy the cooler days and beautiful foliage, but don’t forget about the impact of the changing temperatures and the negative impacts it can have on your horses 🍂🐴🍂

Cool autumn nights are here! And while autumn's sunny days make for perfect riding weather, those temperature and sugar fluctuations in the grass can lead to increased risk of laminitis for your horse.

🍂 Take any signs of footsoreness very seriously and keep an eye on your entire herd, not just those with existing risk factors

🍂 If your horse does have risk factors for laminitis (obesity, diagnosed PPID/ cushings, etc...) consider using a grazing muzzle or migrating to a dry lot if it's available.

ISO someone wanting to w**d eat around the farm. Mainly fence rows and a few rock breaks where I am unable to get a mower.

You will forever be missed!

Another sad day in Charles Town, as we’ve lost another titan of the racing industry with John McKee’s passing.

From Rachel’s Turn to No Change, McKee’s talented runners were numerous. But the impact his stallion Fiber Sonde has had on the state’s racing industry has been immeasurable.

Our condolences go out to his wife Cyndy, his family, and friends.
