Last to be bred for the upcoming season!
In my previous post I spoke about our pure Nigerian dwarf, that is chocolate. She’s all around a really lovely young lady.
Expected in April.
I can’t wait to see what quality dairy genes she brings into my Nigora herd.
This was one of my most favorite matches for this breeding season. I lucked out that Lizzie is chocolate, to hopefully get more chocolate Nigora’s.
Background info:
anyone that has been following might have seen an old video at the top of our page, of our daughter running down the hall with a baby goat. That was MY baby, his name was Ferdinand. He died before his only two bucklings were born. In this picture is his buckling I kept to keep his genes going, and he’s almost identical to his dad. His name is Valiente.
Valiente has one upper hand of being a second generation of Nigora crossing. He’s quiet, gentle, had the genetics I needed as a buck, comes from a lovely mama that I LOVE to milk, and he’s definitely handsome! Which is a bonus.
Put that together with a beautiful doeling, that we also love and adore because she’s another one of our bottle babies. It’s just something a lot of goat owners feel pure joy on when breeding lol.
