CESAR is Dog of the Week!!

Meet CESAR! He is an 8-year-old (DOB 08/13/2018), 102 #, Akita/Australian Kelpie mixed boy who is looking for his family home!

***SPECIAL NEEDS DOG EXPERIENCE REQUIRED. CESAR IS BLIND SINCE PUPPYHOOD - HIT BY CAR***

Cesar is a sweet boy who is loving and friendly! He is very smart with a great nose to guide him through life. He has good leash manners and knows the basic commands sit and shake. We have found he is a fast learner and wants to please. He enjoys his trail walks and has supervision in the play yard. Cesar must be leashed to you until he knows his new environment, house, and yard. He also hopes the furniture does not get rearranged! He is curious and smart! He enjoys car rides and keeps a tidy kennel. He really enjoys lounging on his plush floor beds with his chew bone and is totally a couch potato. Although 102 #, Cesar believes he is a lap dog! He will alert when someone is approaching. To quote the Vet "He is a Beautifully Natured Dog"

Cesar is a great companion and family dog whose best fit is with a family that has Special Needs experience. He has successfully lived with children from Toddler to Teen. Cesar is dog social and lived with Labrador's. Cat's and other small animals are unknown. Someone home all the time is very comforting for him. A secure fenced yard is required to keep him safe and happy!

MEET BURGER! This handsome 6-year-old, 69 # PitBull/AmStaff mix has an absolutely stunning Blue Merle coat—but his personality is even better!

Burger is sweet, goofy, smart, mellow, and people-obsessed! He loves cuddles, walks, jogging, car rides, yard play, and keep-away fetch. He’s a fast learner, walks beautifully, and has a gentle mouth for treats.

Burger has so much love to give. He’s ready for someone who will see what an incredible companion he can be!

Meet CESAR ❤️ At 8 years old and 102 pounds, Cesar may be a big boy, but he truly believes he’s a lap dog.

Cesar has been blind since puppyhood after being hit by a car, but that hasn’t stopped him from living life with his amazing nose, intelligence, and sweet spirit. He loves trail walks, car rides, cozy beds, chew bones, and simply being close to his people.

His vet says it best: “He is a beautifully natured dog.” ❤️

Cesar is dog-social and has lived successfully with children from toddlers to teens. He needs a family experienced with special-needs dogs, someone home much of the time, and a secure fenced yard. He’ll need patience as he learns his new surroundings—but once he does, he’ll be your loyal, loving companion.

Cesar has so much love left to give. He just needs someone willing to see past his blindness and see the incredible dog he truly is. 🐾❤️

Today we celebrate the dogs who fill our lives with unconditional love, goofy smiles, muddy paws, endless kisses, and the kind of companionship that makes everything better.

But today is also about the dogs still waiting.

The ones sleeping in kennels instead of on couches. The ones wondering when their person will come.The ones who have been overlooked, forgotten, or simply haven’t had their chance yet.

At Adopt A Pet, we believe every dog deserves a chance to be someone’s best friend.

Meet MAIA—the sweet senior dog who has been waiting for someone to choose her.

At 9 years old and 55 pounds, Maia is a Pit Bull/American Staffordshire Terrier mix and a true volunteer favorite.

Maia is gentle, loving, smart, cuddly, and completely devoted to her people.

What does Maia want?

A couch to curl up on. A yard to enjoy. And a person to love. It’s that simple!!

Maia would also prefer to be the only pet in the home. She has not successfully lived with other dogs and isn’t a fan of cats.

THE HAPPY ENDING WE’VE BEEN WAITING FOR! MADAME & PEPPER HAVE FOUND FOREVER—TOGETHER!

Every single adoption is special but some are extra and this is definitely one of those moments. Our hearts are overflowing with happiness knowing this special bonded pair will never have to be separated. Even better? They found the best possible mom to love them both and give them the life they deserve.

These two incredible mommas raised amazing babies, and one by one, their puppies found loving homes of their own. Now, Madame and Pepper have finally found their place in this world, together. 🏡💕

After everything these girls have been through, this is the ending we dreamed of for them.

Together. Forever. Home.
