We are an energetic team dedicated to saving the lives of unwanted, abandoned, and abused dogs. As a 501(c) 3, non-profit organization, we rely on adoption fees, donations, grants, fundraisers, and estate bequests to continue our good work. It takes a village to save

ANGUS is DOG of the WEEK!!

ANGUS's Story

Meet ANGUS! He is an 2.5-year-old (DOB 8/10/2023), 66 #, German Shepherd Dog / Husky mixed boy who is a total sweetheart!

***GSD / HUSKY EXPERIENCE PREFERRED. PREY DRIVE = NO CATS***

Angus is a sweet boy who is loving and friendly! He has a happy disposition, and quickly became a Volunteer favorite! He is strong on leash walks, and enjoys the trail/creek scenery. He is smart, a fast learner, and wants to please. Angus loves his toys, yard play and car rides where he calls shotgun! He is curious, loyal, and would be great on an adventure! He keeps a tidy kennel, is completely housebroken, and enjoys lounging on his raised bed, or in the shady grass of our play yards. He is a big talker, and man does he sing!

Angus is a great companion and family dog whose best fit would be an active outdoorsy family. He likes children, however we recommend 13+ kids who are kind and dog savvy due to his exhuberant level of acitivity! Angus is dog social, and loves to go to the dog park. Due to a strong prey drive cats are a no go for this guy. A secure fenced yard is required to keep him safe and happy!

💙🐾 It’s $5 Friday! 🐾💙

For just $5, you can help provide food, treats, toys, cleaning supplies, and medical care for the dogs waiting for their forever homes.

Every dollar makes a difference, and when our supporters come together, those small donations add up to big impacts for the animals in our care.

If you can spare $5 today, our shelter dogs would be so grateful. If donating isn’t possible, sharing this post helps too!

Thank you for supporting Adopt A Pet and the amazing dogs who depend on us. ❤️🐶

Meet ROSIE! A 6-year-old, 70 # Yellow Lab/Golden Retriever mix with a loving heart and a happy personality! She knows sit, down, has amazing recall, and absolutely loves the pool.

This sweet girl enjoys walks, car rides, cuddles, and spending time with her people. She’s housebroken, keeps a tidy kennel, and is eager to learn—especially when treats are involved!

Rosie would thrive with a family that has older, dog-savvy children. She is social with other dogs but cannot live with cats or small animals due to her chase instinct. A secure fenced yard is required.

Ready to add a loyal companion to your family? Rosie is waiting to meet you! ❤️
