Over the last couple of weeks, I’ve been playing catch-up on health testing for my dogs.

✔️ 15 OFA Patella & Cardiac certifications
✔️ 4 kidney ultrasounds on my Cairn Terriers
✔️ 18 BAER hearing tests on:
• 6 Border Collie puppies
• 6 Boston Terrier puppies
• 6 adult Boston Terriers

I won’t even get into what all of this costs—it’s certainly not inexpensive.

Health testing is one of those things that happens behind the scenes. Most people never see it, but responsible breeders know it’s an investment in the health, soundness, and future of our breeds. It’s time-consuming, expensive, and absolutely worth every effort.

I’m grateful to have another round of testing completed and more peace of mind knowing I’m doing everything I can to make informed breeding decisions.
