Ezra's transformation is nothing short of amazing! From a scared and lost pup to a loving, trusting, and loyal companion, he's ready for his forever home. This 1.5-year-old boy:

- Weighs 61 pounds
- Has stunning crystal blue eyes
- Walks great on a leash

We will be closed Thursday, June 19th for Juneteenth! We will also be closed a partial day Friday for spay/neuter day. We plan to open up as soon as surgeries are over. We hope everyone has a wonderful and safe day tomorrow!! 🐾❤️ Don’t forget, we have many furbabies ready and waiting for their forever homes! They would love to meet you!!

Bedford County Animal Control, TN has been recognized by Best Friends Animal Society as a "no-kill" animal shelter with a 90 percent save rate for calendar year 2024.

"You have joined an elite group of organizations across the country who are leading the way to making us a no-kill nation," said Best Friends CEO Julie Castle in a letter to BCAC director Josie Lowery, who is seen here holding the plaque sent by Best Friends.

"This accomplishment represents much more than a number. It represents a culture of caring and compassion. It represents a dedicated staff, committed volunteers, and motivated supporters. It represents innovative, thoughtful programming. And it represents extraordinary leadership, both within your organization and within our broader animal welfare movement."

Lowery announced the honor during Tuesday night's meeting of Bedford County Board of Commissioners' public safety committee.

Best Friends Animal Society is a not-for-profit animal welfare organization based in Kanab, Utah. It has a partnership network with shelters and rescue groups across the country.

Catie is a tiny but mighty 13-week-old kitten who weighs 2.4 pounds. Despite being a cruelty case survivor, she's resilient and ready for love. Catie has been with us for 52 days and is now looking for her forever home where she can receive the love and care she deserves. This little one is:
