Join us on Friday, February 2, at the IVMA: Indiana Veterinary Medical Association's annual Crossroads Veterinary Conference to meet our very own Dr. Javier Martinez, MVZ, DACVS Equine Surgeon, at Purdue’s satellite hospital Caesars Entertainment Equine Specialty Hospital. The conference will be held Thursday through Saturday, February 1- 3, at the Embassy Suites by Hilton Noblesville Conference Center. Dr. Javier Martinez will be available at our booth #54 in the marketplace to discuss a wide range of equine services that we offer at Purdue’s satellite hospital Caesars Entertainment Equine Specialty Hospital.

We took center stage recently as the distinguished Winner’s Circle sponsor for the 29th running of the Indiana Derby at Horseshoe Indianapolis in Shelbyville. The event was held on Saturday, July 8 and featured over $1.1 million in purses that attracted a field of more than 200 horses. Commonly referred to as Indiana’s biggest horse-racing event of the year, Indiana Derby Day was created to build a premier racing event for the young Indiana Thoroughbred racing program. The races have exceeded all expectations, even achieving prestigious Graded Stakes status following the 2001 running of the event.

Purdue’s Caesars Entertainment Equine Specialty Hospital and Purdue Equine Hospital will take center stage this Saturday as the distinguished Winner’s Circle sponsor for the 29th running of the at Horseshoe Indianapolis in Shelbyville. Commonly known as Indiana’s biggest horse-racing event of the Year, Indiana Derby Day was created to build a premier racing event for the young Indiana Thoroughbred racing program, and the race has since exceeded all expectations, achieving prestigious Graded Stakes status following the 2001 running of the event.

The hospital is a premier performance equine hospital providing specialty referral, medical, and surgical services while supporting equine research and education. Our team of specialists provides extensive diagnostic and therapeutic modalities, as well as groundbreaking diagnostics capabilities with the Qalibra Computed Tomography (CT) system — one of only a few available in the U.S. — featuring the world’s largest field-of-view and height adjustable to safely scan patients as they stand or under general anesthesia. Lisa Rexroat is responsible for making sure the Caesars Entertainment Equine Specialty Hospital (CEESH) hospitalized patients are well cared for. She ensures that all patient’s stalls are well kept and their nutritional needs are met and assists with any needed veterinary care. Tracy Reich, Practice Manager at CEESH, recognizes Lisa’s dedication, “The pride she takes in her work is what I notice every day. Her priority is to keep a well-cleaned and organized barn. Regardless of how busy she is in the barn, Lisa always finds time to keep the facility looking nice as well. Always caring for the horses as if they are her own.”
