Hoof transformation testimonial time (ttt)!! 🐂 Bull arrived to the farm last summer hardly able to walk…. His wonderful owners did everything they could to help Bull get a head start on a second career in the sport of three-day eventing but that didn’t work out quite as they had planned….

As dedicated owners (the best that exist!!!) - they got him out of that situation and brought him to Stag Hill Farm for a happy, healthy retirement.

When he got here, our priority was to help him get comfortable with the help from our farm vet Dr Hayley Mesch and farrier Mark Harden. Together, they worked wonders for this horse and we are happy to report he is happy as a clam (and SOUND!) in basic steel shoes!!! It has been a journey but we did it - GO TEAM!!!

🦄 What an exciting week at the farm! We’ve welcomed not one - but two - new retirees to our herd!!

Senator, a 28 year young OTTB, joins us after a career on the track AND in the Hunter Ring.

Nicholas, a 20 years young Oldenburg, joins us after a long career in the Hunter Ring!

They have a lot in common, and are settling right in to their new happy place. Welcome, boys! We are so glad you are here 💕

‼️‼️EXCITING NEWS‼️‼️ It’s with much excitement that we can FINALLY share with our family that we now offer full care ✨STALL✨ retirement board — in addition to full care pasture board.

At Stag Hill Farm, we prioritize giving each horse the specialized and custom care they need. While most horses do well outdoors with access to run-in shelter 24/7, some do in fact do benefit from QT indoors (with stuffed, slow-feed hay bags…)!

Space is limited and we are accepting STALL boarders beginning August 1 2025. Send us a message to learn more or to schedule your farm tour 🐎 owners live on site and treat your horse like their own 💕(yes, including daily kisses and carrots!! 🥕)

🌞 Spring is in the air and we are all ready!!

❄️ winter, so far, has been very chilly!! We got about 11 inches of snow and ice on January 6, 2025 but managed to maintain happy 😁, warm 🧥and hydrated 💧 ponies!!

We even got to build our very own “snow” paddock paradise to keep them moving about in their field - they did not like venturing out into the ice (can’t blame them!!) 🏇🏼🏇🏼🏇🏼🏇🏼🏇🏼

At our private retirement boarding farm the term “full care” translates to “we treat them as our own” ♥️ and with weather like this, we couldn’t pass up an opportunity to wash down the thoroughbred bay boys’ early winter coats with some anti-fungal shampoo 🫧🫧🫧
