Dog food toppers are ingredients that you can add to your dog’s meal(s). They can help entice picky eaters by adding variety to their meals & help with overall nutrition. If you’re feeding kibble, many brand process at high heat which
can lead to the loss of many vital nutrients, like certain vitamins and enzymes, which break down under intense temperatures. The proteins and fats might also degrade, affecting the food’s quality and shelf life.
If you’re not quite ready to transition to a real food diet, or if you aren’t prepared to switch to a higher quality kibble (one processed in lower heat or even freeze dried), you could make it your goal to feed less kibble but supplement with real food toppers like bone broths, fruits or veggies & whole organs!
