Ambrosia walked away from NADD Nationals as the Lap Distance Senior Champion!!

It was a crazy week for both of us. It was not only MY first NADD Nationals but it was hers as well. I worked the entire event as one of the photographers and Ambrosia was the biggest helper and supporter. We had a week of just me and her and had a blast doing it.
I didn't know how she would handle being in a huge building for dock. She hates being at oklahoma city because its a very overwhelming event. But she surprised me at Nationals and held it together for me.
We finished prelims in 6th place but with the slate wiped clean, we went into finals with the other top 15 dogs..
I told Ambrosia that I would be happy if she jumped 12 feet. She jumped 12' 8" her first jump. That would put us in the running for the top 10 placements! I wrung her out (long hair dog problems) and kissed her noggin. Told her good job and that she had this. Little did I know, she was saving the best for last. Bro jumped 12'11"!!! That's the absolute maximum for her division and it put her in first place.

Ambrosia was awarded a beautiful rosette, a trophy and a new KLIMB!!
Im so proud of her and her performance. She worked so hard for me and definitely got all the best snuggles and snacks (like pizza bones from the photography crew). She was spoiled as per usual that week by everyone and she had a great time.

Introducing your 2025 Best of Breed Winner for Miniature American Shepherds at the FastCAT Invitationals!!
Firenze started his warm up in Fayetteville, AR by running 3 runs there and then we made the long trek to Wilmington, Ohio, where he ran twice Tuesday, and once each day on Wednesday, Friday and Saturday.
He ended up earning his FCAT7 on Wednesday.

Over the course of 8 runs, he stayed extremely consistent running anywhere from a 7.25 to a 7.333
That alone is an amazing feat.

We had an amazing run off with Neptune, who had a rough week but ran well.
Sadly, Presto earned an invite but did not get to run. I had her signed up but she came up lame Sunday night. Not only that she was extremely sick Tuesday night and ended up at the vet Wednesday.

Brax absolutely stepped up to the plate this weekend and told me she was ready for more. We entered her first AKC Scentwork trial after only doing odor imprinting and 2 classes.
Yesterday she was 4 for 4 Qs and in the running for High in Trial.
Today she was 4 for 4 again and TOOK the Novice A High in Trial with a total search time of 1 min and 28.63 sec.

The little demon got a NATIONAL invite!!
Im so incredibly proud of Abraxan and the effort shes put in in her first year of dock diving. She may not jump the furthest, but shes doing well enough to get a National Invite.

Ambrosia placed 2nd in Senior Lap Distance at South Central Regionals!
This has earned her an invite to NADD Nationals and an automatic invite to Regionals 2026.
Super proud of her for going out and kicking butt again this year. Her best jump at Regionals was 12'6

Thanks again to Kristine from Rust Belt Farms for sending her down again this summer. Never a dull moment with her and she just fits right in

The Mythos team has completed their South Central regionals jumps for NADD. Everyone had a great time, the dogs had a blast.
Riot didn't jump into his division and jumps Junior instead. He handled himself like a pro and at the end of day, he even got a wonderful compliment on his behavior.
Abraxan did great at her first ever regionals! Her jumps were not good enough for placing but it was more of a exposure and training opportunity more than anything.
Ambrosia was a Queen as always and has potentially jumped well enough for a placement!
We will know by end of day tomorrow

It's been so busy here at MPD but I wanted to take a moment to acknowledge Brax.
Today she's 18 months old.

She's finally had her first heat cycle earlier this year and she's accomplished so much in her first 6 months of sporting even though we aren't pushing and just casually hitting sports.

Most recently, she's earned her Coursing Ability title and got High in Trial in the LCI Small Open division with a total of 17 points.
Shes also gotten multiple Frisbee placements in UpDog and earned enough Bronze ups to get her DDB title.

This last weekend, we went out to Grammy Mindys at Latigo Farm to do some herding. We worked Ducks on the first day and Sheep the second day with a lot of great promise and starting to practice directional.
Next weekend she has her first dock diving event too.

She is maturing beautifully and I'm so proud of her and her accomplishments... thank you Auntie Taila Bateman for getting stack and gait photos as well as herding photos!

My favorite thing about this is that this was the first track they had ever seen. At 3 months old, they did tiny puppy bumps on this track and began to learn what trash bunnies were all about.
Fast forward a year and they got to see the same track for their first official runs at 15 months old.
Before their official runs, we celebrated with one last hoorah and ran them together for the last time. They've always ran together and learned together but the lure-op said they heard teeth snaps and we can't have anything bad happen.
They had a BLAST doing this, finished at a 7.6 run. They're only going to get faster.

Riot looks like a BEAST running down the fastcat track. From a catcher standpoint, he always looks like our gooby boy! But from Brian's point of view, he looks like a bear with the force of a freight train when running.

Abraxan really blew me away. This was her first MAJOR event with multiple performance events. Thursday night after being cooped up in a car all day, she earned her Fetch Test Novice. She ran through a muddy field and got her BCAT in fastcats.
Saturday during the pouring rain, we ran out to herding where she earned her first Instinct leg. Then off to disc, soaked to the skin. But the time we made it to play Updog, she was tired and did her best but definitely not 100%
Sunday morning we started with disc instead where she got new personal bests in 4way play, Frizgility, and played a new game, time warp. Then off to herding!! She earned her Herding instinct title with her breeder Kristine from Rust Belt Farms watching. We finished the weekend off with fastcats in a swamp. Or so I thought we were done.
I was told that we had placements in Frisbee at the event center and had to pick them up Monday morning. Come to find out, Abraxan placed in 2 of her games!!

🌟 she was also in the rankings for Over-all top MAS for Disc!! Brax came in 4th which shocked me! She will come back strong next year and I can't wait.

Firenze did great at MASCUSA Nationals!!
We went just for fastcats because he has started to retire from Disc and we definitely are not ready for herding since we haven't had practice. Firenze earned his FCAT6!
Despite everything thrown at us, he did great. Running in monsoons and 4 inch deep mud at the start line, he still pulled off Fastest MAS by an entire MPH. And it was a very slow run for him at 26.98 mph
I'm still super proud of the effort he gave and got to bring home a beautiful ribbon and trophy to show for it

Holy cow!
While I knew Presto was going to title at MASCUSA Nationals for Fastcat, receiving her FCAT8, I didn't know she was going to place in frisbee!!
Let alone placements in 3 of the games.
She really put in a lot of effort in her games and gave it her all with a lot of focus.
Her placements are as follows:
🌟 1st 4 way play (Sat)
🌟 2nd 4 way play (Sunday I believe)
🌟 4th Time Warp
