We just had a positive rabies case in a skunk in Ellis county confirmed by Oklahoma State Diagnostic Lab on 2/9/2026. Please consider vaccinating or boostering pets, livestock, and horses that are at risk of coming in contact with wild animals. Keep an eye out for any wildlife exhibiting abnormal behavior such as; unprovoked aggression, disorientation, hypersalivation, abnormal vocalization, etc.

Looking for working barn cats? We have cats available that will all be FIV/FeLv tested, FVRCP and rabies, flea and heart worm prevention applied and they of course will be spayed and neutered. We can bring them to the farms and set them up in wire dog kennels so they acclimate for a couple of weeks before being turned loose to work. Any farms or farmers that are willing to have working cats please reach out and let’s help get these cats to their new farm!! Gail Bushur-Irwin
