We just had a positive rabies case in a skunk in Ellis county confirmed by Oklahoma State Diagnostic Lab on 2/9/2026. Please consider vaccinating or boostering pets, livestock, and horses that are at risk of coming in contact with wild animals. Keep an eye out for any wildlife exhibiting abnormal behavior such as; unprovoked aggression, disorientation, hypersalivation, abnormal vocalization, etc.
