5 years ago, I brought home a little floppy-eared dog! That grew up to be my best friend!! He was so driven to make me happy, no matter what I asked him to do! He absolutely loved to track those big bucks 🦌🦌 and was darn good at it. We spent many, many hours in the mountains together, trying to figure out what happened and where the deer was at! While doing that, we got to meet a lot of great hunters.

I just want to say thank you all for trusting and allowing him to do what he did best. While we created a bond that I will forever cherish,

5 years wasn’t enough time with you, Cash dog!! 🐕 RIP buddy

Another tough one for ole cash dog! 21hrs old track that went 700yds which is a easy day if a 100yds of it wasn’t through a field full of goats 🐐 like 50 of them and this is cash’s first time seeing a goat. Was like watching a demolition derby 😂 definitely made it a challenge but got it figured out 🦌🦌

The deer sure were running wild over the weekend. This was our 4th for the day and the hardest. Hunter had tracked it bout 300-400 yds before losing blood. Well that was the last spot of blood we seen until bout 80yds from the end of the 1408yd track. It was right around 14hrs old and deer was still warm. Just an example of a gut shot deer will go a long ways if jumped and takes a few hrs before it being fatal! Congrats to a great guy on a good buck! 🦌🦌

Proud of ole cash dog starting the season off with some tough tracking conditions he Was able to help recover 2 deer over the weekend both being their first with a bow.

Got a call from a buddy that one of our friends needs help!! I was drawn in chuck swan. So I gave them an option to go get cash dog from the house or wait until I got there that evening.. he’s been with me on plenty of tracks to know how to handle cash dog so I continued my hunt.. got there that evening to see how it went and after talking to them they had tracked it over 400yds and jumped it . I asked if still had blood and they did so we talked about the situation and I decided we needed to start again just to see how it goes.. after 300yds still finding blood I see the deer as it’s trying to cross the fence. At that time I knew it wasn’t going to make it through the night coyotes were already in there with us. We continue to push and another 400yds and he had gave up..

Got a call from a friend/neighbor saying he’s shot a good buck and knows it’s a gut shot.. we talked about what to do and decided to go ahead give it 6hrs just to be sure. It decided to snow during that time.. sure makes those steep ridges interesting but 700+ yds later we were standing over the deer… 🦌 🦌🦌

Over the last 3 seasons I’ve tracked 6-7 deer in Hancock county and they were still running around when we was there.. so it felt good to break that curse. Those mountain deer are a different type of tough! Congrats to the hunter on a great deer 🦌 🦌🦌

This officially put cash in the 💯 club for tracks! so now we need to get to 100 recovery’s.
